Just my opinion, buts those bars really are ugly.
It's not about ugly or otherwise, it's about function. It's because I often drive in 'roo country. I've hit a big 'roo in the past (in my Patrol), and without a bar it would have been a tow job.

It WAS a perfectly polished bar, but a bloody mess after their car wash.
Even after a couple of hours polishing work on my part, it's still not as good as it was.
And the car was fairly clean anyway, had been washed about a week or so before and only driven a couple of times, and only on dry bitumen.....

.....And I believe Sean has moved to Albion now.

Hoppy s Albion also destroyed the polished bar on my 120 prado I took it to the car cleaners at Lutwyche shopping centre they are German and have been doing this for years and brought my polished bar back to life.

They cleared the codes and did a forced regen - started the car again and messages and codes came back. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at the dealership when that happened. So they told me they were going to raise a tech report with Jeep Australia. No ETA on a fix. We're into day 3.
Had lunch with a mate who sold his SRT after 12 months of frustration. He seemed to take great pleasure in telling me that his was kept for 3 months while they attempted to remedy one of his woes.
Thank f*&k I've gone off the idea of buying a caravan. I can just imagine sitting in some town in the middle of nowhere waiting for Jeep to get back to a local dealer.
Joined the club today!!

Had a regen message at about 7000kms which was not an issue. Have just turned 22300 and today the 100% full, your stuffed message came up along with the service throttle and engine warning light.

Garage has been forewarned that its coming on a flat bed and they recon if its only a regen should be OK by this arvo (WA time).

Now waiting for the tow truck as opposed to being at work. Ah well, where else would I rather be - Driving my Jeep!!!

Now we wait to see what happens.

Regards

Adrian.

Benno.

Not 100% sure and can't check as the tow truck has just left (2 1/2 hour wait!!).

I picked up the car on 12 July 2013 so it was one of the first off the production line. Thought I had dodged the bullet until today!

Regards

Adrian.

Hmmm, early build then. I wonder if the flash update would help..... interesting to see if the dealer applies it or just does the regen. Or maybe the dpf is dead.

Benno.

Let's hope the DPF is not dead as that would mean, most likely, waiting for a USA delivery. ARGHHHHH!!

I must admit that I have been a little concerned over recent days, possibly up to a week now, that whenever exiting the car, even after the 15 minute trip to work, that the exhaust or something has smelt hot. almost as though a paper tag or oil deposit is over hot or scorched.

I had been watching for another DPF burn for some time, but alas nothing until the Ha Ha Got Ya message of today.

I do a 15 minute trip each way per day for work but these also vary from 60 kph to 100 kph. I am also not light on the right boot although I am loath to go out of my way to feed the fuel companies. Love the power and pull when the loud pedal is pressed. Lets hope that a forced regen is all that is required and all will be well again.

Regards

Adrian.

Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

What a joke - I'd be spitting chips if I had this DPF issue. My MY12 GC is due to come off lease but I'm just going to extend it for another 12 months - no way I'm risking another new Jeep at the moment. Put me down as a lost repeat sale.

Got the message this morning. POS went into limp mode which means its stuck in 3rd and max speed is 60kmh. So you cant even drive at highway speeds like it asks you to. Took it straight to the service centre and they inform me that the DPF issue seems to be isolated to northern NSW and all of Qld. They think its dodgy fuel. Funny we always use the same servo, and so do our 8 business vehicles that are all diesel and all have DPF's....
No comment from the service guys when you tell them no warning and no way to drive at highway speeds. I have this feeling we won't be seeing out this lease.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Have you had this flash applied, from what I've seen it seems it gives more warning, but also overcomes situations where the dpf is failing to regen despite running at highway speeds.

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_1801814d.pdf

It might be worth asking them if there are any codes registered that match the TSB.....

edit: looking at the list of those who have had the issue, it isn't just NSW and QLD, and I don't believe it is dodgy diesel.
