Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

I got a call from the dealer saying they will be working on the car today. They have to do the recall work too so I may not get it back today.
Most interesting was that he thought a newer TSB had been released since Dec 19, as there was feedback that it may have actually made matters worse. He is double checking.

No, that's why I questioned him.

I think that post is unclear, and I'd hold back promoting the content until clarified. The question has just been asked, so it should be clear soon.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Yeah, if that was Kenno, he stated on 5th Dec that the dealer did a burn and gave it back to him. The update came out on the 19th, so I don't think he had the correct update applied at the time of his most recent failure.

Heads will be rolling if at FCA if RRT 14-104 has not done the trick!

Yep, but settle for a minute Bert... as discussed immediately above I think we're talking about "an update" versus "the update".

We will be staying tuned!

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

With all that warranty work JA might not be able to afford to sponsor the polo anymore.

Glad you got your car back fairly quickly. There must still be a question mark over it letting you down again however.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Evening,

A bit of a long shot, but.... Has anyone managed to get a xgauge for the DPF % full to work with their scangauge II?

I have the DPF temp working using the 013C command, but when I test the 018B command, I get puzzling results returned. The returned string is not for 8B, but for various other commands that the scangauge issues regularly, sometimes even 3C. Basically everything except 8B.

I have it working in the Torque app via a bluetooth dongle, but would prefer to permanently mount the scangauge, even though coding a xgauge had me thinking back to my Mainframe assembler coding days!

Oh, a big thanks to Steve1307 for the PID code definitions, spent hours looking for those, only to find them here!
Glen.
