Add me to the list. Car went into limp home mode a month ago. It said to drive at highway speed to clear but I couldn't get out of fourth gear and the car obviously went into limp home mode. Re-gen was done by dealer and I've had no issues since. Interestingly about 2 weeks after the dealer re-gen the car performed its own re-gen as designed.

Just a thought - do you have SPEED ALERT activated? If so, this appears as a quick message (and chime) and displays the red ring around the speedo.....

Yes car arrived after text the night before saying would be 7:30am instead. there it was still clean and running under full power. the only difference I am trying to sort out is why when I filled the tank up with go juice (still had over half a tank) that now it says 730km till empty instead of the usual 1100km. Nothing like this happened when it had to have the first burn done. It was also given its 10000km service and the N58 update, they also done the radio update to 13.43 when I had already done the 13.59, and now up to the 14.05.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Some interesting 2nd hand info from ausjeepoffroad:
Wait 6 weeks - Page 3 - AUSJEEPOFFROAD.COM - AJOR
Quote:
My brothers CRD LTD and mates Overland both purchased same date and delivery same date last year in September. From 500km on the clock both were going into limp mode due to DPF. Computer was stating that they needed to drive at highway speed etc... But not possible.
Twice towed to the dealer and on the 2nd time the dealer raised a ticket with HQ Jeep.
After two days the dealer advised that Jeeps techs from USA stated to change out the DPF filters as they were the problem and causing the issue.
12,000 and 15,000km respectively and no issue's what so ever. Both vehicles they say are running like clock work and love them to bits.
Based on the build dates of the failures so far, I think this is likely the answer, that there has been a bad batch of dpfs, and if you have this problem the dpf needs to be replaced.

Highway tune?

What happens when you reset the fuel consumption and go for a mellow cruise?

Cheers,
Steve

Just want to keep this info in here:

They said they spent a bit of time looking at the DPF to try and work out why it is not regenerating and going straight into limp mode. They reckon the DPF was assembled incorrectly from the factory and they have ordered me a complete new unit.

Is it possible the dpf problems are happening more often with MY14s over previous models due to the 8sp transmission? The engines aren't working as hard as with a 5sp at highway speeds so exhaust temp isnt getting hot enough?

I've read a couple of recent (pleasing) posts where owners have had their DPFs replaced and have not experienced any further problems. I've also read quite a few posts where owners have had no DPF problems whatsoever.

Bad manufacturing period maybe?

What about you guys (quote above). Has a new DPF fixed your problem now?
