Benno have you considered buying a cheap Android phone just for the purpose? You'll save a bit being able to buy a Bluetooth adaptor instead of wireless... and I haven't checked, but aren't they Android apps typically cheaper?

Cheers,
Steve

Yep, that is a good point, I actually have an old samsung phone laying around somewhere. Might see if that thing still works.

Ok, found the old samsung, installed torque pro and it installs and runs fine. Just ordered this one, a little bit more than the basic ones, but thought I'd try it out:

Strike three for me!!! Waved goodbye to the GC this morning on the back of the tow truck. Lasted a whole 4,000km after the DPF replacement. Not bad.... Never got to regen mode once. Engine fault light, throttle system warning followed closely by "your filter is nearly full" message. Interesting twist though - stuck in second gear this time - 40kph top speed.
I thought limes were expensive over Christmas at $15 a kilo. Turns out I paid 80k for one lemon. :-(

Is that a power button in the left hand corner? Cool if it is.

I really love "OBDING"...

Yeah, I googled as much as I could but couldn't find any info on that button. There is another one with a power button:

Daz I hope you didn't have the most recent update, otherwise we all may as well flush our keys down the shitter. Optimistically, I'm guessing that the update wasn't applied?

That really sucks - what was the response from Jeep Assist / dealer?

Jeep Assist were very helpful as usual. Called them yesterday afternoon and arranged the tow for this morning.
Called the dealer to let them know it was coming in .....again. Haven't heard a peep from them. Generally, I have to call them to chase them up.

The situation could be worse. i originally bought the Jeep to do some long holidays, towing a caravan. Luckily I went off the idea. I could be stranded in the middle of nowhere right now, instead of at home quietly fuming

I don't think so. Generally unless I find it, print it and give it to them they don't even know that service bulletins exist.

I'll call them tomorrow and offer to email it to them (if I can find it).
