No message. Only ever seen that just before it went into limp.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

That is interesting I was in their Friday before last and the service guy was on the phone telling someone a whole heap of crap in regards to a DPF failure. Funny it sounds like some of talk u were describing.
Lucky for me I have had no issues with them, touch wood....

Yeah, that could have been me. I was talking to Andrew, I think I kept him on the phone for nearly 20 minutes trying to get a decent answer.

I haven't had any problems with them yet either, but some of the stories I've heard about them on this forum are worrying.

NOTE TO SELF: Avoid Cricks at all costs. Better to torch car than have them look at it. Service guy appears to be mentally challenged, and would be better suited to basic Lego assembly.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Cricks mansfield seem to have one of the worst reps for qld service on the forum. There have been numerous reports of refusing to apply TSBs and software updates, one owner was told they don't do any warranty work anymore and would have to go to albion instead. And then there is the misinformation about dpf regens, they told one owner he should drive at 109kph to make sure a regen occurs. They seem absolutely hopeless based on feedback here, although my 2 regular services have gone without a problem......

The JGC, especially with the VM Motori diesel, is a high tech machine.
The last thing needed is some of these bloody idiot service people.
How many of the problems people have had are made worse by a poor service response?
From constant misinformation fed out to customers, (not all of whom are as well informed as most here, thanks to forums like this), to even simple service items like getting the oil quantity -and type- right, to refusing to carry out software updates, these guys need to be named and shamed.
(I was talking to a Jeep owner only yesterday who got charged for 8.7 litres of oil! They don't hold 8.7 litres!) And then when a customer has a slightly more challenging problem which is not "run of the mill", you need to have confidence that the people trying to fix it know what they're doing!
They don't deserve to be in business if they can't do their job properly!
And I have no doubt that many of the people who have dramas and have even in some cases completely lost confidence in their cars, would have had a different outcome given proper professional service.

And as for Chrysler Australia, why have there been several recalls issued on my 11 month old Jeep, some of which are significant "safety issues", yet I have had only one notified by mail, and none rectified yet apart from one software update.
It's just not good enough!

Love the car, not even slightly impressed with the service back up!

Pretty much the universal view Futuresystem. Poor after sales service is what is motivating me to ditch my Jeep later this year once I've seen a few new car releases upcoming. Ford Everest, Disco, or maybe an insignia.

Good luck with that.
I have a good friend with a Mazda BT50 who has had the same problems, poor service, and total lack of knowledge when it comes to even basic service requirements or trouble shooting.
It's most certainly not unique to Jeep!
