The JGC, especially with the VM Motori diesel, is a high tech machine.
The last thing needed is some of these bloody idiot service people.
How many of the problems people have had are made worse by a poor service response?
From constant misinformation fed out to customers, (not all of whom are as well informed as most here, thanks to forums like this), to even simple service items like getting the oil quantity -and type- right, to refusing to carry out software updates, these guys need to be named and shamed.
(I was talking to a Jeep owner only yesterday who got charged for 8.7 litres of oil! They don't hold 8.7 litres!) And then when a customer has a slightly more challenging problem which is not "run of the mill", you need to have confidence that the people trying to fix it know what they're doing!
They don't deserve to be in business if they can't do their job properly!
And I have no doubt that many of the people who have dramas and have even in some cases completely lost confidence in their cars, would have had a different outcome given proper professional service.
And as for Chrysler Australia, why have there been several recalls issued on my 11 month old Jeep, some of which are significant "safety issues", yet I have had only one notified by mail, and none rectified yet apart from one software update.
It's just not good enough!
Love the car, not even slightly impressed with the service back up!
