Warning only come up once, it also dropped me down to OR1 but I think that was due to me traveling faster than OR2 permits. But it's all good. Only saw it once for whole day and suspension still worked fine.

I think that is bs about the transmission not allowing the revs to get high resulting in the engine not getting hot.
Whenever I drive up a hill the temp gauge goes up to 3/4.
I haven't yet experienced a problem with the DPF however I have not seen my car come up with a message that a regen is occurring. I do drive 30mins a week on the highway flat out.
Perhaps my problem with the motor almost overheating is preventing the DPF from clogging up.
I just had my 10K service, I wish I asked them if my car has ever done a regen when they had it plugged into the EVIC.

Have my fingers and toes crossed I don't fall victim...

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

A new TSB refers to DPF issues:

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_1801814.pdf

Could be a fix?

By jove Benn0 - That could be the fix, (not that we require it - yet) but if it is, that's a win in the Land of Jeep.

We'll see, not sure if they will get it right first time, but it looks like they are having a go at a fix at least.

My car is in for a 10k service today. I raised the DPF issue and asked for any regeneration data logged. The customer service guy mentioned an update to address it... thankfully I didn't rubbish him on it! It'll be interesting to see if it gets applied...

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

I've just booked ours in for its 20,000km service in two weeks. Is it worth having this applied do you think even though we have had no issues?

That is, I don't want to 'break' what is not broken. Thoughts?

Yes, the TSB seems only to be applied where they see those codes.

edit: I guess there will be a lot of dealers out there who have been hanging on this update. They will probably be all talking about it.

I hear you SJandL. I have a healthy respect for leaving unbroken stuff alone. It'll be interesting if it gets applied without having had apparent issue.

I'll quiz the guy a bit. He seems OKish to have a discussion with.

Cheers,
Steve

Oh, forgot to follow up on today's service and the TSB which appears to address DPF issues. Apparently my vehicle isn't within the range of VINs... either that, or they told me a fib to avoid risking a car which is currently unaffected.

I honestly doubt it's the latter as the guy I was dealing with isn't a Service Manager. He's "just a mechanic" from the workshop filling in for a few days. Pity that... he was the first contact I've had that left a great impression. Letter to the DP tomorrow!

Anyway, storytelling over.

Cheers,
Steve

Well, It happened to me tonight, Limp mode with no warning. Will ring the dealer tomorrow. Vehicle build 6/13 with 7500kms on the clock.
Not happy Jan, I can't afford this to happen while pulling my 3 t van around the country. Before any one asks, I only do country driving.
When I get it working its off to Toyota for a Cruiser.
Cheers
one pissed off not happy camper.
