Well, all's well that ends well - so far!
Yep, sales is at MtGravatt, service is at Mansfield.

I hear so much of this kind of thing from customers going to mansfield. They refuse to acknowledge patches exist, refuse to apply them even if they do admit they exist. They are really hopeless. I've only been there twice, and on the last service they did apply patches that fixed problems I was having, but I've heard so many of these stories now that I'll be looking to go somewhere else. They seem to be absolute muppets!!

Do a search for mansfield in this forum, you will see plenty of posts.

My dealer has been cool about these things in the past - but in this case, I want to reset to stock (RJ3) and apply the patch myself. That way I can control/understand what's happening.

So my (off topic) question remains: Any idea how I get the patch listed in the 08-084-14 TSB outside the dealer network? Or indeed, does anyone have any details of what this patch is...? (For those of you with RJ4 UConnects e.g. Limited GC owners, you get two ISO downloads with a Uconnect firmware upgrade - the second being the Nav/data package. Is the 08-084-14 patch just an updated version of the second ISO with corrected data/updated text-to-speech code?)

So, getting back on topic: I've seen the SRT-style gauge displays in the UConnect app - anyone thought of adding a QNIX app that will allow users to monitor DPF capacity and CAT temps?

Ok, I get what you mean, it should just be a matter of identifying the correct uconnect update that has this fix. Aren't there lists of fixes in the uconnect update descriptions? My membership has lapsed so I can't check.

I've never used it, but I believe that if you become a Member of Jeep Garage then you get access to the UConnect Update area of this Forum.

Yes, and it's heaps easier than trying to download the updates from Cry-slurs bunky server...

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Hi all. I'm due to pick up my Overland next week. Is there a way to tell if all current TSB have been applied to a vehicle?

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Yes, absolutely. Tell the salesman that if every applicable TSB has not been applied that you will come back and punch him in the face.

Cheers,
Steve

I wonder what software and updates are loaded when it leaves the factory? I don't think you can ever know what state the car is in when you take delivery.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Noticed that someone has posted on the JA Facebook page last week about their DPF limp mode failure and someone else has referred them to Jeep Garage - anyone we know?
