Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

that extra warranty isn't the same as a factory warranty. It only includes certain items and you need to pay an excess each time you make a claim. It is better than nothing but whether or not it's worth paying the "premium" dealer servicing prices is up to you

I got them to include an extra two year FACTORY warranty as part of the deal, that doesn't depend on dealer servicing. It has a suppossed value of $2K so something everyone should be asking for.

Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

I have asked Jeep AU, the dealer and this forum about the extra 2 years and nothing has been provided.
I would love to know how much and what you get.
Nobody at Jeep seem to know anything about it, which is disappointing.

Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

It is an extension of the standard 3 year 100 000 which takes it to 5 year 175 000. Everything else is the same as the factory warranty.

I had three different dealerships in Sydney all make it as part of the package when negotiating a deal. They claimed I would have to pay $2800 for the extension as it "cost" them $2000. I ended up getting it all included for less than rrp.

Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

I have just been researching Extended Warranty's and found the following
Some Jeep dealerships offer a 3 year extended warranty upto 175,000klms at no fee, providing you service exclusively with them. Basically, you are locked in to that dealer.
Allianze Insurance offers 2 year extended warranty for $2,743. You can only get that through a broker. It can vary from $4000,- $2,500 depending on the broker's deal.
Swann Insurance offers 2 years for 200,000klms, $2,465. Dont know if they deal direct.
Avea offers $1,300... but does not cover many items. My lease company would not accept them, so beware.
I am awaiting a Jeep Australia quote, for 2 years extended warranty. Will let you know when I get it.
If you wish to do your own research try Ph 1300851120

Dont suppose you asked if this had to be purchased at time you buy Jeep, or can it be purchased in like 2 years time

Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

I was told the 2 year extended warranty can be purchased anytime during the 3 year warranty period.
Glad someone has costings on the warranty as my dealer did not answer my questions on it. I was given the Suttons POS warranty, it offers less coverage than a roll of toilet paper.
I mean really, there is nothing in the warranty worth bothering about as there is so much fine print and weasel clauses.. I laughed when the showed me what was covered and for how much. The factory warranty is the way to go, as all the gizmos on the Overland look expensive to fix and I do not want limits on any problems.

Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

That makes sense - as both of my previous vehicles (Ford XR6 Turbo and Toyota Prado) came out of warranty, I was approached to purchase the extended factory warranty.... I'll make up my mind in three years....

Agreed.

I was told you can obtain the Jeep Extended warranty if mileage (kilometre?) was less than somewhere around 120,000. (I forget the exact figure)

Re: Jeep Australia Servicing Deals

Hi there
I paid $1,830.00 for a Extended Manufacturers Warranty Insurance which appears to be with AG Automotive Global. This is a extra 3 years and 100,000 km in total being 6 years and 200,000 kl. I purchased this from Central Coast Jeep at Gosford NSW. I was led to beleive that it is the same as Jeeps waranty everything covered and nothing to pay for any claim. I will read the paperwork and check it out. So far everything I have been told by Gosford Jeep has been all good.
