Re: Jeep GC pulling to the left

The dealer at Castle Hill fixed mine. I assume they sent it out, but it is perfect now.

Re: Jeep GC pulling to the left

Try cross switching (rotating) the 2 front tires and see if it starts pulling the other way.. could be a radial tire causing it.

Mine is at castle hill jeep now getting alignment done for its first service (just the 1500km one, not the real service) - I can vouch that they haven't sent it out, they drive it around over to the shed sign posted as "Mitsubishi service" and they put it up on a hoist while doing the alignment (I assume to get underneath and make the adjustments) - highest hoist I've seen during an alignment tho..

I'll keep you posted if they fix mine (also told them the Orange rubber on my air filter is cracking from new).

Nah. The Mitsubishi shed translates to "Big Hammer Shed"

Re: Jeep GC pulling to the left

I posted this in another thread, but here it is again.......
I have just done a bit over 26,000kms, all trouble free. My tyres (Michelins) look about 1/2 worn and I noticed the other day the front left was wearing a bit on the outside edge and I was pretty sure it seemed to be pulling a bit to the left. But I wasn't sure if it was the road camber and an over active imagination.
I did the rotation myself and took it in for a wheel alignment today.....what a difference. I thought it felt OK before, but after, it now feels like the car is floating and the steering is lighter and no having to hold it to the right.
I gave them the details of the TSB and he had to do a bit of extra research about how to do the adjustments and a couple of test drives to get it right, he took about 1.5 hours to get it done.
The guy doing the wheel alignment gave me a blow by blow commentary, he loved the car.
Money well spent.........

I have now done 36,000kms including a reasonable amount of dirt road work work in Tasmania and it still feels great.

Haha, you're probably right, but they did something in there right, it's much better than it was, I don't have to keep a keen grip on the wheel at all times for fear of changing lanes unintentionally...

I wasn't sure if it's just me, but that's how I think it drives now, all "floaty" like...

Just to be clear, floaty nice, not floaty crap.

Re: Jeep GC pulling to the left

I describe it as the wheel alignment in the GC as being correct when you can tell on which side of the lane you are on by the very small difference in pressure required either way to keep it there.
