Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Isn't it interesting that there are about 4 persons working in Jeep Customer Service, and they appear to know very little about the issues that each are working on? I deal with an outsourced team in India, and can categorically report that if they came up with the same stupid responses, they would be looking for work. Perhaps Jeep Australia should outsource these clowns to a country which tries to support the company and it's customers.

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Never heard of that one. Are you sure you are not touching the volume control button with your right hand on the steering wheel?

I had that problem when setting the volume through the screen controls. Somebody recommended using the radio volume dial while the nav system was speaking. It has held ever since.

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

I am not hitting the volume control on the back of the steering wheel. The radio volume is OK but the NAV voice goes back down after I have set it on previous trips. I'll set it on say "22" then it goes back to "14"!

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Is the volume speed sensitive? i.e. you set it to 22 while on a hwy, then when you go slow around your stopping location, the volume drops. When you restart, the volume sets to it's last memory setting.
I am probably completely wrong.

My volume did not reset this morning when I turned on the car. I was that startled this morning when 140dB of Coldplay screamed out of the speakers, my head almost punched through the sunroof and needed a change of underwear

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

A dealer said the new MY14 GC used a Garmin navigation system. Is this different to the ones you are having troubles with.
