While in service they told me that they had the discs but my VIN was not included and that in any event I would have to pay for any update. I immediately got onto CS and about 10 minutes later Tracy called me back and said she had advised the dealer that any sw update, but not map, would be free and that the dealer had now ordered the 3rd disc. The dealer said that they would contact me when they have recieved it - nothing so far. Tracy also said she would be away for 2 weeks from start of this week.
I take it you have a MY13 or MY14? (Can't see sig on iPad). When will they get that MY12's are being loaded with later map software than MY13's!

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Was wondering if anyone with a my12 has had the update done yet and if it fixed the routing issues?

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Not yet.
I have been chasing the dealership asking for the disks, and have been told that they were expected ealry last week, but never turned up.
I spoke to Shona at Jeep Customer Service, and she promised to call me back before COB friday with (another) update.

You mean 2.146 don't you? I think you will find that they will not update my13's to the latest version of softwares 2.184 and map database 4.3.1. At least they didn't want to with my my13, though they didn't actually have the right disc's. I am about to call and complain, again, to jeep customer service. Don't think it will make much difference as they're so useless but guess I should try before talking to fair trading. I am very interested in hearing how Allypally goes.

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Just had a few interesting days trying to get information out of Jeep Aust regarding the so called, on again, off again, on again, fix for the MY11, MY12, navigation routing.
A week or so ago I called Jeep Aust and spoke to Shona. She 'appeared' to be on the ball, and offered to find out what was happening with the routing fix that I was told was ready to go some 8 weeks ago.
Without going into depth, the result was that the dealer told me that he needed to order a disk, and it would take approx. 6 weeks to arrive. Since the dealer told me the disk had not yet arrived last week, I made the abovementioned phone call last tuesday.
Shona promised to call me within 3 days. 5 days went by, so I called her. First time, on Monday, she was in a meeting but would call me.
No call from her.
Called her again today (Tues) and was told she was 'upstairs'. but finally got to speak with her.
She was quite arrogant. She attempted to talk over me every time I queried the validity of her statements. She basically told me that all the issues customers were having with servicing and parts were due to the dealerships not reading bulletins, or not following procedures. She said that the disk the dealer had ordered did not exist, and that she was going to start from the beginning, and talk to the regional manager, then the Australia Technical Manager and sort out the problem once and for all. I asked about outstanding TSB's and even referred to one which clearly stated that a disk had to be ordered by each dealer. Shona stated that the customer service desk was not told about TSB's and only given some information from management in order to conduct their business. I told her that my opinion was they were in complete shambles, and none of them had a clue on how to provide technical support, or customer service. I also told her that I had heard that the "non existent disks" that were being ordered were in fact given the wrong part number, as they were for South Africa. No comment was the response from Shona. I then told her I would speak to the dealership and sort out the mess.
I then called the dealership and spoke to the service manager. He appeared to be somewhat taken aback with the comments I passed on from Shona. He told me he had received a call from her, and was instructed to backoff, and leave it upto Jeep Aust to sort out.
However, he did say he would call Shona and clarify her comments.
About 30mins later the service manager did call me back and advised he now had the "non existent " disk and I could arrange to take the car in for installation. (made me think he had it beforehand, but due to being told to do nothing, he would not discuss it with me.)
He told me that the process was for them to read the information off my screen, phone Navteq who would confirm the codes, and they would supply the dealership with a digital key to unlock the install. It apparently has to be done via phone.
He also advise, that since I originally was told to go to them for the fix, the TSB 09-070-13 had now had 4 revisions, the latest being 19th Oct.
So, I have an appointment for 13th December to have this "fix". Who wants to bet on it's success?
To say that I have never experienced a more incompetent organisation than Jeep Aust would be an understatement. I sure hope they are not highly paid, as monkeys have more talent than that mob. I can't say any of them have ever left me with a feeling of satisfaction.

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Milous / WK2Jeeps.com has kept the Bulletin up to date. I suggest checking back there regularly as he shows the revision dates posted. I triple checked today and this applies to a 2012 but not a 2013 or 2011 (not sure why it wouldn't)
