This is quite concerning, whenever i have contacted Jeep 'customer service' i have been treated with contempt, and the usual ' we will contact you when the update is available '. F-me, I'm glad I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks for the update, Allypally. I checked with my dealer on the revised disk for this TSB which they have on order while having my vehicle serviced last week. Did not have it yet and did not think they would before mid-Dec. it will be interesting to see whether your dealer has the correct disc and if this finally improves the GPS! I live in hope.

Are we ready for some class action yet? I've had my car over a year (MY13) and my maps are still useless. "Customer Service" is non-existent or incomponent.

According to Jeep Customer Service and also the local dealer, the necessary discs will be in hand on Friday 20th December. I'm booked in on Monday 23rd December at 8.00 AM for the fix.
Reminds me of waiting for Santa when I was a kid, except in those days I knew there'd be something for me. Today I'm not so sure.

I've only ever been to Gateshead. I have friends who use the Cessnock dealer and, so far, are happy.

Up til now everyone at Jeep has played dumb about the GPS problem. No-one has admitted that they know of a problem. Apparently the staff have been sworn to silence when it comes to dealing with owners.
Something's changed because now the Melbourne people are speaking more freely about the long-awaited fix and even the dealer staff admit that there are a lot of other Overland owners waiting for the CDs to be delivered.
Had dealings with a lass named Shona in Melbourne. Typical of PR folk, she promises faithfully to ring back with progress reports but doesn't actually make the phone call. Obviously she's not high enough up the corporate tree to have any real information. Sometimes, just for a moment I actually feel sorry for those customer support operators who have to take our phone calls, because they're obliged to tell lies in order to keep their jobs. But then I remember that I'm the one who spent the 80 grand, and I'm the one treated like a mushroom, and the sympathy disappears.
We'll win, even if I have to pay my solicitor more money, we'll win, and then we'll have a GPS somewhat like what you can get in a spare parts store.
