Well.......
Booked in today for 30K service, handed over my letter and they said no problems, they have everything they need to do it. Went to pick it up and before I drove off checked the NAV database info and guess what, it's exactly the same as before I dropped it off......grrr.
Marched straight back in and spoke to both the Service Advisor and Service Manager who both assured me that they saw him do the update, but it mustn't have taken. Methinks they only did the RHP radio update as this a newer version, although not the latest.

Watch this space!!!

Well I was in at my dealer today to discuss another issue (the drivers seat wearing after only 6 months which I may start a new thread on) and talked about having everything done at the same time. I advised him that I had the code for the map update but then he informed me that it won't work as the codes are wrong and they are trying to resolve it.

I received a response advising the update does apply to my 2013 GC VIN and I should have received a letter! Been told to book it in and they will advise them of the activation code.

Naturally I'm and the service guys are concerned I'll take it and they wont have been provided the code.

If you are in a similar situation to me I suggest you call Customer support to clarify the issue.

Well the saga continues....
went back into my local dealer today for a second attempt at updating the Nav.
Surprise, surprise.............it didn't work

Spoke to the Jeep tech directly and the Service advisor and he said that the update didn't take, my unit wouldn't accept it.

They have decided to just order in a new head unit for the car

The wait continues..............

Well I have just rung my dealer and tried to arrange and advised him that I don't require a service before 31 May and they said well sir there will be a cost involved - at that point I stated I wasn't interested. Are you reading this Mr Hughes!?

Had the map update done today, WITHOUT HAVING TO BOOK A SERVICE.

BEFORE UPGRADE:
Application: 2.184
Database: A 1247.4.4.0
AFTER UPGRADE:
Application 2.136
Database: A 1329.4.5.0

You will note that the Application Version was wound back. Why?
They also left me with 2 disks. 1 for the map which has the label 2014/2015.
The other has UConnect MyGIG refresh Ver.2.136.
Now the question is why they are only releasing a backdated MYGig version.
