I just checked my before and after the mapping upgrade pictures of the version screen and both have 2.184 for the software.

Nope, They said that they were multi use disks as they were marked as Dealer master copies.

As previously written, I can not tell you how disappointed I am with Glenn Jones and Jeep. He appeared honest, sincere and a man of his word in court.

So you can imagine my feelings when I had a call from a friend who got his letter this week, called the Adelaide Jeep dealer and was told 'no service, no map update'. He called us to check and I gave him Tracey's telephone number at Customer Service (ha ha).

Guess what! Tracey doesn't know anything about something wrong with sat navs....! Or an update!

I have given them more background and Glenn Jones email address.

Shame on you Glenn. Shame on you Jeep.

I hope others consider a trip to their local tribunal to remind Jeep of words such as Ethics and Honesty.

I emailed him query why I didn't get a letter. He replied stating I should have and told me to book it in and advise him of the details and he would ensure they had the activation code. He did bugger all.

I emailed him again expressing his competency and honesty but he did not respond.

I have just called Customer Care and they have entered another bloody case number which supposedly has the Activation Code applicable for my vehicle entered against this case number. But they clearly stated that it is only free with a Service and chargeable otherwise. She reiterated this over and over again regardless of me stating the car was serviced just 2 weeks ago and I was sold a bloody Navigation system 2 years ago that did not work and hasn't worked for 2 years.

I will contact my dealer tomorrow and if they do not perform it for free I will commence legal action.

Hi Guys,

I have booked my jeep at Castle Hill Heartland. I dont have the letter because the address on their system was incorrect. I have asked them to resend me the letter but it hasn't arrived been more than a week since I called. I don't know whether to even trust jeep to resend the letter.

I called heartland and they said no upgrade if the letter or code is not present at the time of drop off. What do you think I should do?

Does anyone have the email address of glen jones they can PM me?

The dealer will require the code to do the install. Glenn Jones, Glenn.Jones@chrysler.com is reportedly on leave, so you may not reach him.
Try contacting Jeep Customer Service, and tell them the issue. Maybe they can supply the code to you, or directly to the dealership. Tell them that this whole debarcle is a major inconvenience and you are so far not impressed.

Went to my dealer to have the upgrade done - arranged for me by Jeep customer service. You will all be surprised to learn that they did not have the correct discs to update my system.

It is a never ending saga of incompetence!

Now they are just taking the P@$& out of us. I have been trying to ring cust careless over different periods the last 2 days to find out what's happened to my letter and the phone call I was promised back and I just get put on that crappy hold. I have stuck it out for 20 mins plus each time but when at work I just can't afford that time. To top it off my dealer service dept phone system has been down so it just rings out. They know about take a message and don't return your call. I am over Jeep/Chrysler 2 more years of lease if I last that long and I am out. WHY ARE THEY MAKING IT HARDER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE???
