Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Who is organizing the action against them and how many people are or willing to be part of it. Is it going to be a class action?

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

I unfortunately am not at liberty to announce who is leading the action. However, that person does contribute to this thread, and I am sure if they want to announce their stance, they will.
The action being taken is an individual one, but I can tell you that I have been requested to provide a Statutory Declaration to support their case, and I am only too happy to do that.
If this case is proven before the courts, it may force Jeep to take action for all customers who have a SatNav system in the Grand Cherokee.
This is one of the reasons why we encourage all who have a SatNav issue to call the Jeep Customer Service and lodge a complaint, ensuring they obtain a reference number.

Its not even outside of Main cities I can name 2 areas in Melbourne that are within 50k of the CBD (Lilydale and Belgrave)both come up with the Data is not supported and it routes you well and truly around them. Its just nuts as they have been around long before i was came on this earth.

Complaint lodged! #259442

Sick of getting "route not supported" or similar. And I'm in the Brisbane suburbs...

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

I have contacted Shona with my complaint via email and am now waiting on the case number. She did respond very quickly but so far has not committed to anything.

I was asked to provide the VIN and she was going to check with the dealer:

"Once we have this information, we will be able to contact your local Dealership to confirm the Unit-Type currently fitted to your vehicle and the software versions currently installed.

It may be that we are waiting for the Manufacturer/Vendor to make further updates available.
We should be able to advise further, once we have confirmed your vehicle information."

I am happy to provide my case number once I receive it.

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

Good to hear more joining in. Look forward to seeing your Case Number.
Also - don't forget to contact the ACCC. They will not do any additional work on individual cases, but if there are enough consumer complaints they will consider contacting Jeep. So get going!

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

I lodged my complaint via phone no. 1300 133 079 on 7 May 2013 and was given reference number 258963 by Robert, which I am assuming is same as case number.

Re: Jeep Navigation System Fail

I'm getting no love... I have provided the details as was requested, I have since sent a follow up email with no response.

Its pretty farked that we have to go to these lengths to get this sorted.

I guess I will start with the daily phone calls... or, worse... I will get my wife on to it and nobody wants that!
