Re: Jeep service costs

My bad. Not diff, but Transfer case fluid was changed. If you look at Post#1307, you will see that the schedule shows both Tranny and Transfer Case fluid changes @ 50,000.
However, the set price service only allows for engine oil change.
I still have not received any response from FCA

Re: Jeep service costs

So I'm booked in for my 80k service at Lander Blacktown. Service person who answered phone wanted to just simply undertake the NEW service book scheduled work i.e. including the diff and transmission fluids. When I pointed out that mine had already been done at 40K as per the OLD schedule and I didn't want it done again she had to pass me on to a service adviser - all understood when I explained and booked for service without the fluids. Quoted $947.54 (effectively a 40K equiv service) as per the Mopar Menu price.

Also will have Recall R09 done.

The only problem was when I got home and looked under the bonnet saw the air filter box was not sealed correctly, the power steering fluid below minimum, and they had not reset the oil life gauge. Contacted the service manager the next day and the items were problems were fixed the next day.

To follow on, I got the usual JA service survey and completed that with a "slightly" negative response and was contacted by the service dealer who has to do the next service free of charge. Wait and see.
PMG only did a half arsed job, they didn't actually break your car?

Seems they are improving.

Also, I recommend checking your oil level.

Work Falcon was always serviced there, never had an issue.

Yeah I don't understand how they can keep changing their service schedule, if I bought a new car sure this new service schedule should apply but mine is 2 years old and should follow what is in MY book

Interesting that the service and warranty handbook on the Jeep AU website is still the old one:

http://www.jeep.com.au/brochures/ser...y-handbook.pdf

On the new one, it still has "Lubricate Steering knuckle and ball joints".

I would really like to know how to do this considering that there are no grease nipples anywhere that I can see.

Re: Jeep service costs

All the promises of better service since Clyde and Veronica "left" FCA? It is still an appalling mess if you ask me.

Re: Jeep service costs

I learnt another thing yesterday. Tsbs are only flashed if a customer complains or queries an issue. They arent automaticly updated on a service unless it is deemed a safety recall. Food for thought for some.

Re: Jeep service costs

Yes - I believe that is correct.

TSB - only applied if issue raised by customer
Campaign - applied but not safety related
Recalls - safety related

Re: Jeep service costs

Yes, and you don't ask for a TSB to be applied, you make sure you say, "I have X problem" that directly relates to the TSB, and say their is a TSB for it. Many have tried to have a TSB applied without actually saying they have a relevant problem and of course it isn't done.

I have a problem with Jeep servicing.
Is there a TSB for that?
