Re: Jeep service costs

You have given me renewed vigor Alan. Just fired off an email to FCA to pursue the labour cost for the failed condenser I had last Feb. See how we go...

I already have an ACCC case lodged.

Job done. Sent a carefully worded email to FCA early today. They just rang and a cheque is in the mail.

Re: Jeep service costs

So, just back after having the 24month/40k service. They (Chullora) wanted to charge me $1100 until I pointed out I had a $400 capped price. When I mentioned incidentally that the fixed price on the website was $967 the response was "oh that's being revised, the component prices are less than what it actually costs us". Would have been an interesting exchange if I hadn't had the capped price.

I gave them a copy of the TSB for the Uconnect update to 15.26.1. Was told it was done but foolishly didn't check until I had returned home and found it was still 14.25.something.

Might have to try my own download and update.

But it makes you wonder that just because it states on the invoice that x has been done, did it actually happen - e.g. things like tyre rotation.

Will probably be shopping around before next service.

cheers
Ian

Re: Jeep service costs

I think these days, with dealerships, it didn't happen unless they can prove it did.

Re: Jeep service costs

Posted this in another thread, probably more appropriate here. I'm up for the 40k service shortly and have just found out that Bayford Jeep Hawthorn, down here in Vic, has closed down. Both the dealership and the service department are no more after two years of trading. Disappointing to say the least. I am now looking for another service provider. It's probably between Chadstone Jeep and Nunawading Jeep. I live in Hawthorn so not interested in driving miles to get it serviced. It's on a notated lease so need a service provider who will deal with them. Any recommendations?
Has anyone had any experience dealing with Chaddy or Nuna Jeep servicing. Thanks.
