Re: Jeep service costs

Exactly! Paid for the flash buildings and coffees. Oh and checked the brakes and serpentine belt, which I had already checked. There are couple of warranty issues that they are going to do. Rattly shockers on the rear and noisy fuel pump.
I guess you put the payment down to keeping the warranty going.

Yes, agree with GMWK2 and the loan car is a 300c. Excellent. Everything is sort of (but not really) just like the JGC if that makes sense. The same but very different. (Sorry to digress )

(But I still want the Cherokee. Narellan will get an order regardless though, in 6 months time from us, be that the Cherokee or the new 300c).

Re: Jeep service costs

Just re reading your sig J, I thought the DCR JGC was for you? You now want to downsize to the Cherokee?

No, I want both.

Looking to replace '07 JGC Hemi within the next 6 months. That is what is currently under discussion. I don't know why he wants a sedan type vehicle??

Just having the loan 300c here the other day, and I said to him, look at the ground clearance of that thing. Ridiculous for where we are. He was 'nah - it will be fine'

A couple of years ago when we had a Berlina wagon, I whacked a rock (just from our driveway) through the sump. Not my fault. That's the driveway - but now he wants a 300c. The same thing is going to happen. (Can you put skid plates on it?)

As I said, still under discussion but the Cherokee makes much more sense for replacement for '07 JGC than a 300c. (Cheaper as well. )

Re: Jeep service costs

Maybe he should buy an SRT then? The power of the 300C and clearance (almost) of a Cherokee. Problem solved

Agreed, I tried online chat with Narellan today to get all of their figures but that didn't work.

That aside, with the pre pay system it works out as $416.66 per service every service for 3 years, so much further ahead.
Gives a leeway for any over priced brake pads etc... too.

It will also be contractually agreed that they will pick up and drop off the car, and that is huge connivence, better than a loan car considering how far away I live.

Has any one asked for quotes on the 50K service
WOW told it WON'T BE MORE than $1295 from Penrith.
I can't believe the cost.

I have not got a quote but it should not be anywhere near that price. Are you crd or petrol?

There are two quotes showing recently, my one from Waitara - $1300.
and Stuch's Brisbane one of $974.

Narellan seems to be the reference point.
They have not answered my email asking for prices.

Re: Jeep service costs

Hi GMWK2,
I have a CRD 2012 model.
The manual says 3.5 hours for the service.
That means at $100 per hour (1295-350=945) FOR PARTS?
