I think you put me onto these guys John. I am also happy with the service and am OK to take the hour drive down from Brizzy for peace of mind. They have a top bloke on reception who also told me the revised service schedule related to drive train. Good price on your 50k. I expect the same!!

Not really worried about the Uconnect, just another one of those things that leave a disappointed feeling after our so called "premium service"
Mud flaps I was thinking of are $60 for the full set out of china. http://bit.ly/1hzFAcK Wandering if it's worth a shot seeing its not much to be out of pocket if they are useless, will order some and report back I think.

Anybody have experience with jeep tamworth or toowoomba? Seeing lots of good things about southport thanks for the pm john, southport is convenient for me as I have family on the coast may be an option of tamworth doesn't shape up. May also be able to negotiate the bumper with them as they are frizelles also.

Re: Jeep service costs

Well I will mention that my 50k km service was $250 as I did the oil and filter change.
I would also recommend SVM Brookvale (NSW) new service centre. They seem to have a clue on what service is and the Service Manager has a Jeep SRT. My service experience was spot on, so they get the from me

I supplied my own oil (Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W30).

Essentially this was a standard service - despite the service booklet saying "change automatic transaxle fluid". Dealer says booklet is incorrect - this should be at 120K and will be around $500. Something to look forward to as it is a special Chrysler spec oil.

The headlights were replaced under warranty. "material flaw in headlamp assembly" This required removal of the front bumper and grille. They wouldn't refit my LED globes in the DRLs due to warranty issues, but happy for me to refit them.
The Wireless Ignition Module was replaced due to intermittent shutdowns immediately after the start sequence. Has been happening for 30K and couldn't be diagnosed. This comes with 2 new key fobs and the ELV steering lock module as all have to be replaced together.
They also:
Flashed the air suspension so it will operate down to minus 40 degrees - that'll be handy.
Flashed for a MIL illumination we haven't experienced.
Flashed the ABS - apparently a mandatory flash that has been released without a bulletin. I reckon this may well relate to stability control and the moose test mods.
Flashed the auto transmission control module for a gear change reprogram - dunno why.
Spotless when I got it back, you wouldn't know the vehicle had been extensively worked on. Drove great.
Pleasure to deal with Frizelles Southport, credit where it is due.

SNUKE, you are a genius. It worked great. The method in my manual didn't work at all. Where did you get the info? Needless to say that SVM Artarmon that did my last service didn't reset the oil change indicator among a host of other omissions.

Hello Jeep. It is now the 21st century. Get with technology. I wouldn't be surprised if they still use floppy disks.
Allypally,
It sounds like you managed to get an update. Each time I've asked, they either didn't do it or said they didn't have the disc. I've tried downloading various versions from SOX but without success. I'm still on version 10.00.11

Bob, you obviously haven't been keeping up with your homework……… http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_2600212.pdf
Little tests will be slipped in from time to time.

My invoice from my 50K service this week noted right at the top "reset oil change indicator" - another nice touch I appreciated, because it obviously wasn't reset at the 40K (by the dealer I've moved away from), and came on at 48K. I left it on just to see what would happen at the service.

bobt : did manage to reset your oil % back to 100% ??
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but have tried the above procedure more than a dozen times but oil life is still stuck at what it was ie about 87% now.

Fireball, i think the 2014 is reset from the EVIC.
This extract from the US diesel owners supplement might be worth a try.

"Oil Life Reset
Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change indicator system. The “Oil Change Required” message will flash in the EVIC display for approximately 10 sec- onds after a single chime has sounded, to indicate the
next scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the engine oil change interval may fluctuate, dependent upon your personal driving style.
NOTE: Use the steering wheel EVIC controls for the following procedure(s)
Vehicles Equipped With Passive Entry
1. Without pressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP button and cycle the ignition to the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine.)
2. Press and release the DOWN arrow button to scroll downward through the main menu to “Vehicle Info”.
3. Press and release the RIGHT arrow button to access the ”Oil Life” screen.
4. Press and hold the RIGHT arrow button for one second to access the ”Oil Life Reset” screen.
5. Press and release the DOWN arrow button to select “Yes”, then press and release the Right arrow button to select reset of the Oil Life.
6. Press and release the Up arrow button to exit the EVIC screen."

Good luck
John

Just tried the above. Nothing happens. When you get to oil life and then press the right arrow for 1 sec,it just flicks to the battery voltage. No oil reset menu
