Even the dealer is having trouble getting the Mopar ATF+4.
My 50K service is due too. Dealer told me the same thing - Mopar ATF+4 is not currently available and they don't know when it will be.

Jeep situation normal....

You don't have your cars specific set in your profile, what engine is it?

I paid $2,500 for the first 3 years, I have the 3.0. At an average of $416 per service, this was below the best quoted prices. In NSW the cheapest seems to be Narellan. I negotiated into this a valet service, so they pick up and return the car. This was the only way they were going to get my service as they are over an hour away in the wrong direction. My first one is this Friday.

A member on Whirlpool got the their first 3 years on the 3.0 for $2,100.

Who is your dealer?

Re: Jeep service costs

Those up for their 50,000km I would be double checking that the automatic transmission needs a filter and oil change, the info I can find is that the auto trans doesn't need servicing until 100,000km.
Although jeepAU do like to have us over service our jeeps twice as often as the rest of the world

My information direct from my dealer service manager was that he had been informed "change automatic transaxle fluid" at the 50k service was incorrect and should not be included in this service. All information relating to the CRD gearbox was that the oil service be done at 120k.
I'd be happy with 100k though. When my 50k service was done at the dealer they didn't do the transmission.
I did the diffs myself at 40k and both sets of oil were very dark, so perhaps there is some value in changing them.

So you pay $2,500 up front and you get servicing for 3 years? The dealer gets 3 years worth of service money in his grubby little hands right now no risk. He'll be laughing all the way to the bank. What if the dealer goes broke, what if you sell the car, write it off, go overseas, move interstate, break a leg or just die? You take all the risk. The dealer's only risk is that you drive an excessive about but I'm sure he has that covered in the fine print.

Rang another dealer - no auto fluid available. He has 2 cars booked in the next two weeks and that uses up his current stock and has no idea when more will be available.

Pathetic.

You reckon?
Way I figure is its 400odd for a service I would be paying a lot more for. There is not really any risk for dealer as they only pay for the regular services for the 3 years.
If I crash the car I can actually use the remaining services on the replacement jeep anyway.
Makes sense to me.

Re: Jeep service costs

The way all dealers are going is fixed price servicing. If they start charging $299 for the 10k km services, I bet you would not be happy.
You are also tied to the dealer and if they are hopeless, you are stuck with their poor service. I personally would not do it, unless it is financed under a company arrangement as part of the new car purchase.

Re: Jeep service costs

I doubt very much jeep will drop the regular service price from 540 to 299.
