Great point Bob. I'm always inclined to pay more (for anything) for quality work and a high standard of customer service.

Agree with Bob. We are very happy with Narellan (Natasha and team) and wouldn't change dealerships for the sake of saving a few bob.

Their service rates seem like a lot more than a few bob in comparison to the other places. What do they do to justify such a large difference in cost ?
I am all for good service, but their cost is nearly 50% more than the other dealers.
Both the Suttons Dealers I have paid (Artarmon and Brookvale) charged the standard $450 for the 10k km services (I paid under as I did the oil/filter myself). Both did a good job.

$350.00 for the 10k km service Enforcer and $410 for the 20k km service. The next one - 30k km due in about 4000km's time will also be $410. We're happy with those charges and edited to add, no provision of filter nor oil by us.

Re: Jeep service costs

That is a good deal. From their rep on this forum, I think you are in good hands. I must have misunderstood their $750 charge for a 50k km service in comparison with the others charging around $510. If they include the trans service, then it would explain why it costs more.

Re: Jeep service costs

Oh yes - we're in very good hands.

They fixed '07 WK a number of years ago (that machine gave them a bit of run for their money - or should I say CJD's money in the very early days - it was still under warranty) but they nailed the issue and it has been running sweet for the last 5 1/2-6 odd years since.

I have no hesitation in recommending Narellan to any Jeep owner.

Re: Jeep service costs

For what it's worth when comparing service costs, I'd be asking what oil was going in the vehicle.
Those who have followed the oil threads know there is a world of difference in the oils the dealers use.
For the CRD, the correct oil for the vehicle as specified in the handbook is very expensive, full synthetic, very low ash, long life oil.
Not all dealers use oil that is to specification and there is a significant cost difference right there.
Lowest price doesn't necessarily mean the best result for your pride and joy.
John

Re: Jeep service costs

just had the 10k service on the overland
$160.60

it was $440 -> ~$230 if supplying own oil , then used a discount $75 voucher

used mobil 5w-30esp x8 1L bottles which is about ~$122

read the paperwork. all they did was change oil, oil filter, rotate tyres, flash a/c software

can't complain about that, but definitely worth supplying your own oil saving $90 and using a chrysler approved oil
