Re: Jeep service costs

Hi John
Many thanks for your informative response. I will buy all the items suggested and ring a few more independents as well as check out the ex jeep mechanics in Ormeau(suggested by Foglamp) for a labour only price.
BTW. what is the advantage of the Redline 75W90 GL-5 diff oil over the 75w-140?

All 3 seem to have a pretty good name on the Facebook group- Perth Jeep Community?

But it was Jeepkraft that caught my eye when reading their webpage be great to have an independent place that will stand by their work unlike the overpriced dealers

Was looking at checking them out if/when they finally get mine fixed

Hehehe Off the road - I never bloody got on the road with the new Jeep

Is it not standard practice for the dealers to order the wrong part, then order the right part that doesn't quite fix the problem and then just keep on ordering, waiting and replacing parts until they finally are lucky enough to change the right one!

So if the boys up in Wangarra are able to provide services
- By people that actually know the vehicles and what they are doing
- Wont effect Warranties
- And at a reasonable price

Then I will be really happy

Re: Jeep service costs

Well it turned out to be that they stripped the thread on the sway Bar and is now deemed unsafe to drive and a week wait for parts. When I inquired as to a loan vehicle was told sorry none available. Quick email to the Man himself and within the hour an offer of a loan vehicle delivered to my work. His staff may have stuffed up but he is still all over it when it comes to customer service!

[QUOTE=
Has anyone had any dealing with SBR, Jeepkraft or Cruisinon in Wangara?[/QUOTE]

I have used SBR for parts for our Wrangler and have recently ordered some Mopar rock rails for the GC from them. As far as parts supply and shipping they are great, hopefully there in shop service is just as good.

Cheers

Thatís the first negative for Narellan, our last great hope.
Not sure why they say TSB etc are optional, they get reimbursed for the work by Jeep Aus as long as the VIN is in the range and symptoms are accurate.

Was safe enough when they gave you the keys back? :sly:
That's really bad. Why can't these workshops get their guys to 'fess up when they balls something. It's like a bunch of boys hiding anything they do wrong... because just maybe you won't notice it.

Yeah right.

Re: Jeep service costs

Dealers do get paid for applying TSB's. My car was updated in pre delivery, but when they plugged in the laptop, it said I was updated already, but it was not "claimed".
I inquired about the claim and I was told they get about $20 for the UConnect one.

As for anyone wanting TSB's applied, you need to find out what ones you want and then tell them, that you have xx problem and want TSBxxxx applied. It should show up on the invoice as a no cost option.

Dealers should want to do this, but may not have enough resources to apply all the TSB's that are out.
