Re: Jeep service costs

I had my first experience with climbing temps recently, not towing. Gravel road moderate incline, ambient was about 27degrees, oil temp went to 110. As soon as I came down again it dropped to 95.

One thing with the EGR system is that from what I understand, when you put load on to the car, the EGR reduces valve opening, so less exhaust gas is recycled, and more oxygen is burnt. This has the effect of increasing combustion temps.

I would suggest you have a mechanical issue. Sticking thermostat perhaps?

Dealer checked it out and said all good no issues

Re: Jeep service costs

Was due for a 40k and got three quotes ranging from $1100 to $1200. went to RAC who done it for $368. Their service schedule didn't say that the drive axles oil had to be changed but showed them the service book and they done it for free and I only paid the above what they had quoted. Now nearly due for a 50k but living south of Perth the drive to Jeepkraft who sound good with their servicing is a bit of a drive, would need a cut lunch and water bottle for the drive just to get there. Can any locals recommend anyone south and not the Mandurah or Bunbury dealers.

Re: Jeep service costs

Why not try RAC again? They have a service centre in Mandurah.

Hi there, had the same issue, turned out to be a loose engine mount bolt.

Re: Jeep service costs

The Laredo CRD had it's complementary check last week and they have replaced the sticker from the 10k to 15k one.

Have the service intervals for the 2014 have changed to 15k or has someone made a mistake?

Re: Jeep service costs

Had my complimentary 1000km check done last week and the new service sricker says 10000kms.

Would be nice if it was every 15000kms instead.

Re: Jeep service costs

Nothing complementary about it , you have paid for it in the purchase price
Make no mistake about it

Asked my dealer about the 1000km service and he said don't bother. I'd have been back a couple of weeks later for a walk around and tyre kick!

Re: Jeep service costs

I understand that there is nothing they do at the 1000km checkup other than make sure all fluid levels are ok etc.

I had a few warranty issues that were getting fixed so got both that and the checkup done at the same time.
