Re: Jeep service costs

Hi Guys, anyone has experience servicing at Tynan Motors Miranda, Service Center located at Kirrawee, Oak road? I have been quoted $330 for first service ( 6 Month/10K ).

Re: Jeep service costs

Would it be fair to assume the dealer will contact me when my service is due?

Cheers, Simon

Depends on the dealer. Never hear a peep out of Castle Hill.

Simple answer "No"
Some dealers will send out letters six months after your last service, (if they need to drum up business )
servicing is done on time or distance, which ever comes first.
A switched on dealer might send you a reminder based on time (very few and far between), but NO dealer can know how much distance you are traveling!, the only one who can know that is you.
Most service centres put a sticker on your wind screen with when your next service is due, date and/or kilometres, the rest is up to you

Maybe the local shell servo will call you and let you know you are low on fuel too?

Haha classic.. I doubt the servo stands to make as much money from a single visit as the dealer does though. Also the car has no conditions attached that say I have to take it there after 6 months regardless of how far I travelled

Thanks for taking the time to hang sh-t on me, I'm sure your time is valuable, so it's just as appreciated as all of the more supportive and constructive comments on this excellent forum.
😄

Jeep service costs

Dropped off the GC at Narellan - $495 for 60k service. Natasha is her usual efficient self.

Have a KL cherokee sport loan car. Thoughts - no left footrest, plastic steering wheel a bit ordinary. Feel like I'm sitting on the seat rather than in it. Nicely finished with stitched dash top, door and seat trim. I think it is a front drive only and has a bit of torque steer. Automatic electric park brake seems good. Just noticed the fuel release button is on the passenger door - not a bad scam if you have your girlfriend with you - just need to leeeeaaannn over to open the fuel door honey....

That's bizarre. It's on the drivers side on our KL Limited. So for the cheapo Sport variant, how much money did they save by not converting it to RHD equivalent? Oh, also is it the black one?
