Re: Jeep service costs

To give you a perspective on what I have been charged for servicing with a Novated Leased car. I supplied my own oil for each service
10,000 $187.50
20,000 $295.90
30,000 $285.20
All services, so far, done at Nepean. Since I have now moved to the South Coast, I will probably try Camden for the next one. Providing, of course, that they have finished servicing GMWK2's GC.

I have worked out that the only decent cars Fiat/Chrysler make (that we get) is the JGC and the 300C and the KL Limited and Trailhawk, the rest are rubbish.
Fixed that for you Enforcer.

So if you didn't notice the oil life reset and service sticker not changed, you would have driven away thinking your service had been completed?

Re: Jeep service costs

I have not driven a new KL Cherokee, so I guess I was generalising the range a bit.
In regards to the fiat Panda, I do not understand how anyone could own one, as the gearbox is the worst thing I have ever used. The only thing I liked about the car was handing the keys back to the dealer.

Re: Jeep service costs

I got my Falcon serviced on Monday, they gave me a Ford Eco Sport, again. What a heap of shit. 1.5l of nothing, with a box that does not want to help. Several times I had my foot fully to the floor and felt like jamming a stick onto the accelerator so I could then get out and help push. If cars are going to have these small engines, that is all fine, but for the weight they need a manual box. That said a manual gearbox is almost an anti-theft device these days.

At least the GC has a lump where you can wedge your foot - cherokee has nothing.

These manual gearboxes are simply hazardous Snuke. I mean, how can one get about their important texting duties when having to attend to the droll requirements of gear selection?

Re: Jeep service costs

I knew a guy who drove to work with his manual car while also eating breakfast. No big deal right, can still work one hand. Well this genius was eating cereal with milk. So he still had a separate container of cereal and milk to fill his bowl as he drove. This was pre texting days, so I am sure he is dead now with adding that apparent requirement.

Jeep service costs

My son is due to do his red P's test next week and he has learnt on a manual - my wife's Mazda 6. Of the couple of hundred kids in his year at school only he and one of his mates have learnt on a manual. He is wearing it as a badge of honor.

"So if you didn't notice the oil life reset and service sticker not changed, you would have driven away thinking your service had been completed? "

Yep. Their computer was down so they were unable to print the work sheet. They were just going to email it to me later. So yep - if I hadn't noticed I would have just driven off.
