Providing, of course, that they have finished servicing GMWK2's GC
All done Alan - car was delivered back to me around lunch time. $375 for the 60k service in the end which is comparatively cheap I think (they also did the sun visor recall without any prompting from me). Looks like they gave it a quick vacuum and a bit of a detail inside. I washed it before it went in so it was clean anyway.

Funny thing about this has been that when I booked it this time I didn't make any enquires about oil type, recalls or even cost. I've just got myself tied in knots when I have tried to micro manage the service in the past, so this time I tried to fool myself and take little interest. But they still stuffed it up....

I will say however if I'm going to get stuffed around I'd much prefer it was at Narellan than Castle Hill. At least Narellan tried to fix the stuff up as best they could. Castle Hill would have just stared at me blankly....

Re: Jeep service costs

Mistakes do occur.... but isn't it funny how they are able to still produce an invoice, which usually includes cleanup waste material. I am thinking of requesting that material when next charged. If I paid for it, I may as well own it..

I'm sure you remember when mechanics used to hand back the replaced parts. I have a box of Mitsubishi Challenger auto transmission internals somewhere....

Pity you don't have a MY14. Those Mitsubishi parts would probably fix the DPF issues.

That's why God gave you two knees Snuke! Would have been a piece of piss mate, steer with the knees, transfer bowl to right hand, change gears.... too easy.

The reason they invented auto transmissions was so that women could do their makeup while driving to work. I'm sure you must have seen it.

That's why the pull to the left was annoying. Glad I got that alignment done.

Where'd you guys go for an alignment in/near Sydney?

Got less than 1000kms and a pretty dodgy pull to the left.

I don't mind paying for it if it's going to result in a better job.

My eldest sister used to sometimes drive me to high school. 70 miles an hour in a MG, steering with her knees while doing makeup in the mirror. This was in the country though. Tis a skill that some women possess ...

The trouble is the parts are probably out of a commodore, how would you know...

Jeep service costs

The bits are mine. I stood and watched as my mechanic dismantled the transmission looking for the source of all the shrapnel. Then I stood and watched as he dismantled my wallet.

Today my FIL went and looked at a 16 year old Forester for my son. A Jeep, an Alfa and an old Subaru. God help me.
