I took the jeep to Chullora last Friday, they diagnosed it, ordered parts and my jeep was fixed the following Monday. I found 3 others jeep owners who experience the same problem around the 40k mark. Overall very happy with the result, I was thinking driving around no AC for months but it all worked out.

What was the exact problem with the a/c? Wondering if it is common across all those who had a failure at 45k, and if preventable by some maintenance earliest.

Re: Jeep service costs

Was just quoted $399 by Osborne Park CJD for the 6 month/12k service on my V6 Petrol. This was their 'best price', but they said they'd beat other Jeep dealer quotes by 10%. Best price, my ass.... Anyone in Perth had this service done cheaper than this? Just wondering whether I should spend the time ringing around

Cheers, Simon

Oh, "V6 Petrol". On my first couple of reads I was reading "V6 Patrol" and was about to suggest you look elsewhere.

8.2lt with the filter change. You need to let the oil drain for a long time if you have started it in the previous 30mins.

So I really wonder if the other dealers actually replace the oil if there is nothing wrong with it or leave it and still charge???How can one service dealer receive a service bulletin and not the others
Dasher, not that it might not be the going rate, but the 50K service only the oil and filter are changed for the Diesel. So according to this spreadsheet the actual price (not discount) would be $410.95.

I'm coming up to that but out of warranty (>36 months) and supplying the parts so will be interesting to see what I'm quoted which would only be labour from a non Jeep service centre. Really just paying for the service book stamp.
