Doesn't look generic, is pretty random. Just get the jeep app to get the code.

Re: Jeep service costs

So is everyone having their "oil drain bolt" replaced every service at an initial cost of $14.50 plus GST and for my service today a staggering $33.29 plus GST. Who ever heard of replacing the sump plug every time you do a service!!??

Re: Jeep service costs

Went to the dealers today looking for 1/2 lt to 1 lt of engine coolant, as the over flow bottle was never filled up correctly from first date of delivery.

To my sock and horror i was quoted for just under 4 lts (the amount it comes in) a staggering $170.00
Are you kidding me?

No to answer your question however...

... it does remind me of a number of years ago when my husband was doing the oil changes on the '07 WK and the first time he did it, he completely %@#^ed the sump plug trying to remove it. He had to purchase a new one.

A short time later, we were in San Diego and dropped into Bob Baker Jeep in Carlsbad to get brake pads/discs for the WK and he noticed that they had a special sump plug remover tool for a couple of bucks or whatever it was - cheap anyway. 'That's exactly what I need' he said, purchased it and he never had an issue again.

Re: Jeep service costs

Wow - just saw an add for Holden servicing. They now have lifetime capped price servicing, not just for new cars but all Holden's ever made. I'm sure there is small print but jeep are just so far behind the industry it's embarrassing.

I wonder though if jeep aus is just trying to continue ti build its dealer network.
It would have to be one of the more profitable service brands looking at the costs compared to other brands.

While the Jeep continues to see so well JA will do nothing except to waste money on sporting events .

Why would they give service to there customers they don't need to

This was the same business principle Holden and Ford once had.

Now they are finding it difficult to sell their brand of cars so now they are starting to give some sort of customer service with Fixed Price servicing, as one example.

My 10k service was...
Filter $103
Castrol oil $118.63
Labour $168.04
Workshop supplies $15.00
Enviro greencare $3.00
Environmental levy $10.50
Tax $41.82

Totals $460 but i had been given a $400 cap.

Your figures including GST? Someone provided a schedule in one of these threads and if I recall correctly the 10k service was something like $580.

cheers
Ian
