Haha me too love the Novated lease.... Turn up hand over keys, go back in their loan car pick up keys.
Any major dramas ring lease company tell them to sort it...

Re: Jeep service costs

Narellan Jeep seems reasonably priced compared to the others and includes a courtesy car in the quoted price.

This was the same place that gave me wiper blades for free after they started to split after 6 months whereas other dealers wanted to change me $260!

Here's the cost of my recent 40K service. Purchased parts myself. Used a private licenced mechanic, book stamped with a printed job sheet of all tasks performed.

9L of Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 - $126
3L of Redline Gear Oil 75w90 - $90
Ryco Airfilter - $28.25
Ryco Fuel Filters - $48.55 (2 are in the pack)
Ryco Oil Filter - $15.95
Labour $174

Total $482.75

No TSBs are available and if anything comes up and I need them applied I'll take it to the dealer under warranty.

That's a reasonable price.

How did you know what needed to be done for the 40,000km service (or any service for that matter)? The Service and Warranty Handbook that I received with my MY15 is dated 10/07 (July 2010 or October 2007?) so is clearly out of date.

I have the excel spreadsheet that SNUKE posted that lists tasks for vehicles MY2011 to 2014. Did you use that?

I just used the book it came with. I found that spreadsheet of SNUKE's had some conflicting info, but overall was fairly similar. From memory the A/C filter change interval was different.

If your going to use a private mechanic make sure they have a 'licenced motor vehicle repairer number', not just a mechanic.

Thanks. Was the book that came with yours the '10/07' version?

I'm trying to determine if the supply of the out of date service book was an error of my selling dealer or of FCA.

Is there a more recent version available?

On Friday I'm getting mine done by private mechanic, using Ryco filters, Mobil ESP 1 and Redline for the diffs. I should be under $500 including labour.

I'm currently waiting at Chullora Jeep for them to replace my camera. They screwed up. Maybe I'll ask for a complementary 40k service. On second thought they might do more harm then good.
It was from the Jeep dealer so it should cover everything that required
