Jeep dealers however charge high end euro hourly rate (in my case, they charge more than my local Benz dealer does) and still do all the horrid rush job things you mentioned with zero regard for quality.

That's the key part of the complaint. High cost AND bad service.

Re: Jeep service costs

Jeep could refuse to honour a warranty claim if it may have been caused by failing to perform the 50k service.

Re: Jeep service costs

Ive had my Jeep at Waitara now over 5 times, 2 x services others were accessories and warranty work. Every time they miss something or bugger something up, they are however getting better and their head Jeep guy knows his stuff. There are however items that haven't been fixed since picking up the car like dashboard trim and steering wheel not straight. Which dealer is best in Sydney? Nepean any good as that is closest to me?

Nepean are a huge multi franchise dealer - good luck queuing up in the street with all the nissans and Mitsubishi's at 7 in the morning waiting for the gates to open.

Re: Jeep service costs

Its interesting because they are apparently an authorised Jeep service center, but aren't connected to a dealership. They normally do german prestige servicing, so I'm hoping that means the quality of service is good. I asked them about applying the DPF update, they didn't seem to know about it, just that they connect it to the computer and it tells them what updates need doing.

I'll have to check what oil they use.....

Re: Jeep service costs

There are a few old service centres around that have associations with a brand but are not dealers - Brian Foley in Sydney is an authorised Alfa service centre but not a dealer as such.

So I guess Trivett are the same?

Re: Jeep service costs

Can any one recommend a place to service my JGC not too far from the eastern suburbs of Sydney - not Suttons

Also how long should the 2 year/40K take to do

According to the law, definitely not. But Jeep won't tell you that. They rely on what appears to be some irrational innate fear that we motorists have of the engine blowing up during the warranty period and the owner having to pay for a new engine. It just doesn't happen and if it did, it would still the dealer's problem under consumer legislation.
