Re: Jeep service costs

My car was recently up for a service (20k) and I reached out to the group (Suttons) where i purchased the car from and there quote for this was $760, phoned up the next nearest dealer in Parramatta and they quoted $520.

Was pretty stunned at the price difference and even more so that Suttons would not budge unless i provided a written quote for another dealer.

Ended up going with the service at Parramatta and so far seems all good.

The only one's I thought could count were Clive Campbell and his bimbo replacement.
They knew a great formula. $1 for Jeep Australia, and $2 for Clive.
You're a character Ally! Well of course for the sake of the dealers one would have to dumb down "10 potential customers" to something like "plenty plenty customer".

Re: Jeep service costs

Realised they didn't reset the oil life during last service, for previous serves I had made sure that was the EVIC screen when it went in. Forgot to do it this time and this is the result.
I just tried 5 times, still no luck, has this what people have been doing from the WK2 site?

C. Vehicles with diesel engines (export models):

1. Cycle the ignition to the "ON/RUN" position (Do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it fully depressed for at least 30 seconds.
3. Press and release the brake pedal six times while holding the accelerator pedal pressed.
4. Perform one ignition OFF-ON cycle, start the engine and verify that the reminder has been reset.

Repeat the process if the indicator does not reset.

Yes Mate Cricks Mt Gravatt in Brisbane I don't even normally look at the price as I don't pay. But they emailed me the invoice so I had it on had to check.

No I just do step 1 and then start pumping the brake it then resets without having to do step 4.

Or maybe it was pumping the accelerator.

Sorry I can't remember...but I know the export instructions didn't work for me.

Re: Jeep service costs

I was watching that video in the car, and ignored it as it was a Cherokee with e different EVIC. Might give it a go, no harm.
