Loose Mirror/Sensor Assembly

Hi Guys,
Cant find anything in the search area, but does anybody know how to secure the mirror/rain sensor/headlight sensor assembly to the windscreen. I had a new windscreen fitted yesterday and there is about 5mm of play.
Not sure if it is a "click in place" or there are securing screws? Cant see anything and don't want to force anything in case.......

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Loose Mirror/Sensor Assembly

I'm sure it is a click into place….when I had a new screen fitted the guy fiddled about for ages to get things lined up when refitting the housing.
Likely the fact I was standing watching influenced the operation, but he found it very difficult to get the two halves correctly lined up.
Eventually it went into place and is secure, doesn't move.
I did have the phantom windscreen wipe on engine start for a few days then all came good.
On Wk2 Jeeps there is an illustration and instructions on the sensor housing removal (in the trim removal.pdf a bit more than halfway through).
A couple of pins line up into the sensor body.
Good luck and be gentle.
John
