Question Molded mudflap size

Hi fellow GC owners.

I am hoping someone can help me out with conforming the size of WK molded mud flaps or splash guards as Jeep calls them.

I took delivery of my new GC last week and have been contemplating getting a set of the Mopar deluxe molded mud flaps but have been put off by the size of the front ones, particularly how low they hang

I found a few ebay sellers offering genuine knockoff deluxe mud flaps and think I may have found a different (smaller) size front.

Type 1 - These look very much like the genuine Mopar mud flaps. The front look like they would sit much lower than the rears.

Type 2 - These look like the fronts are much smaller than the rears in the photo supplied by the seller. Front look smaller than rears when compared to type 1.

Can anyone with a set of genuine Mopar mud flaps on their GC please confirm for me if type 2 fronts are actually smaller then the genuine fronts and if the rears are the same size as the genuine items based on the measurements in the 3rd image?

Thanks

370mm overall for the front on genuine.
120mm long from the bottom skirt.

Rears are 400mm so the same.

Can post pics later. Phone about to die.

Front does hang low and I have scraped it numerous times, especially when in entry/exit height. But the lower the better for protection.

Thanks for the info Bigskiddy.

I was hoping the above copies would be smaller as I dont like how big the genuine fronts are. Will order a set and see how they look.

I've got the ebay genuine original knockoffs. I'm very happy with them!

Hi archcat74, do you have the smaller ones I posted above?

I ordered mine earlier this week and will post pics once I fit them.

Cheers

Re: Molded mudflap size

Had a normal (long) set on my last MY14 and was annoyed that they grounded out so easily. I hadn't seen the shorter ones and got another set of normal ones from Roger Zhang (iJeeping) in China through eBay. My plan has been to cut them down... even though I had read others saying it would wreck them.

I've just finished removing 25mm with a small router. No problem. Matched the radius... can hardly tell that they've been doctored.

Cheers,
Steve
