Re: Navigation System Quirks

I used to drive past Macclesfield (down Woori Yallock Road) every four weeks, I can attest to its massive elevation.
I had to have a separate oxygen tank to make it through without greying out.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

I also just got off the phone with Rob and was told any day now, but under further questioning, he revealed that they have not received any update.
I feel a ACCC case is now warranted to give them a hurry along.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

I lodged a ACCC case for shits and giggles last week. We will see what happens now.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

The ACCC called me this morning and said they have spoken to Tracey @ JeepAU.
Apparently they are "field testing" the fix and it should be available in a few weeks. I said that they have been telling us the same story for a very long time. The ACCC said I should wait until the end of August and see what they say then. If they do not provide a fixed date at that time, that I can then escalate the case to the next level. They also said that any fix should be free of charge and that if Jeep want to charge for it, the ACCC would take up our cause under the ACL's.

So hopefully we will see a fix in the next few weeks, but I will not hold my breath.

If Jeep are reading this, I strongly suggest you sort out the problem and provide it free of charge, or the ACCC will be kicking your butt.

I called the ACCC last Thursday and they said they would put my complaint on record and see if they get a trend of complaints.
So everyone needs to call the ACCC ASAP and get them logged.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

I agree - we registered with the ACCC over 8 months ago. I know of a number of other Jeep complaints about the sat nav.

They will only action after a number of complaints. So since my is so old and I have attempted a number of resolutions with Jeep, I think it is time to go back to ACCC again.

CONTACT THE ACCC. LODGE YOUR COMPLAINTS.

Let's make this easy. Here is the link to send an email complaint to the ACCC:

Re: Navigation System Quirks

I heard a rumour that a recent attempt by Jeep Aust to apply the fix to a owner's Jeep, resulted in the radio crashing, and a replacement radio needing to be installed.
It does make you wonder how on earth Jeep and Navteq can stuff up so dramatically, with what should be a simple software release.
