Re: Navigation System Quirks

At least the are consistently F..king hopeless. Is it really that hard Jeep ?

This is why I lodged the case. I could not see an end to it. Getting the ACCC to mediate will be interesting as they are blaming a 3rd party (NavTec) for the problem, but I would love to know why it is taking over 24 months to find a fix. They can either fix it or refund me the cost of the SatNav option was for the Laredo, which I think was around $2499.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Yep. Spoke to Rob at Jeep Customer Service (is that an oxymoron, or what!!) yesterday to follow up on my case.

He has now advised me that they don't have an expected release date for the satnav issue.

Anyone in Melb interested in a trip to Port Melb for a little door knock? Maybe taking some camping equipment too?

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Well,
I think that there have been 3-4 ACCC complaints lodged in the past few weeks, mine included, so we will see if there is a change in their attitude.

I hope you are not planning to get there using the Jeep navigation routing.
Maybe we need a MY14 to show us the way?

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Well I think I will be calling Jeep next week. If they give me the same story about no ETA, I will escalate the case with the ACCC.
If they think we will just sit around being fed their bullshit, they have another thing coming. We could really put the ACLs through their paces and force Jeep to compensate all of us or provide a full refund as their product is not of a merchantable quality.
The only way car makers will deliver a decent product is if we make them liable for their poor performances and force them to fix them in a timely manner.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

I am very confused!!! This post dated June 3 says an update was applied and it fixed some if not all of the sat nav issues.

satnav problems

Yet at my service last week I was advised a radio update was applied but they stated it wasn't to do with the sat nav issues.

Seems I need to try it out tomorrow or give JCC a call.
