Nil warranty on leaking front strut post-lift

A recent service found a leaking front strut. Jeep said it would not be covered under warranty because the vehicle had been lifted.
Quoted $390 to replace. I haven't taken it any further. Anyone had any similar experience and also any advice regarding whether it's worth pursuing with Jeep.
Cheers all.

I work on the theory that any thing I modify immediately voids warranty, that wouldn't stop me trying but I reckon you would be doing well with Jeep Aus to get it up!

I think some after market shocks now exist so probably a better option that going stock, check out ARB and Dobinsons.

I think that Jeep do have a good enough reason to deny the claim. By raising the vehicle, you are making the OEM components operate in a way they are not designed for.
As others have said, I would be looking for aftermarket options, as this may happen again.

Re: Nil warranty on leaking front strut post-lift

Hi, my left front strut has started leaking with standard suspension.
Took it to a dealer and confirmed it. They said as I haven't had dealer servicing they need to do a "prior work approval request" to jeep.
Really, do they think a non dealer service will cause a shock to leak.
Car has never been offroad or on the beach. 43500 km. crd 2012/13

A lift and stronger springs should not cause a shockie to leak, what next
the weight of a bull bar on the front. Suspensions go from the bump stop
to the strut topping when the wheel comes off the ground or what ever
limits the suspension travel, the shockie should not leak.
regards Russell.
