Re: No brakes- caution

Lousy service is not good but not life threatening, brake failure is. A polite letter to your motoring authority would be viewed with interest.

Re: No brakes- caution

I think that with today's internet exposure, the issue of delayed parts delivery will soon get into the public domain, and eventually hurt sales.
Sometimes the thinking (or lack of it) by Chrysler Aust astounds me.

Re: No brakes- caution

I am hoping that it is closer to the 2 weeks rather than 4 and that's what the fault is and all that is wrong with the car. I have just had it confirmed that they have come to the party with a loan car and I will be picking one up today which I am grateful for but my initial dealings on Monday has soured what has been a great experience of owning a Jeep. The unfortunate thing is that a lot of people had warned me about getting a Jeep and I was continually questioned by them hows the Jeep going etc. I used to take great pride in proving them wrong but atm they are having the last laugh.

I hear how Jeep continually mention taking sales from the German's (BMW, Merc, etc). I can tell you now these owners will not tolerate anything less than the great after sales service they usually receive (from German makes). They may not take it to authorities but I am sure they won't buy another Jeep unless CJD pick up their game. They can start by overhauling Jeep Assist, getting a stockpile of parts into Aust and educating their dealers.

By law any incident that may cause injury, particularly the potential for life threatening injury must be reported to the department of infrastructure and transport within 48hrs of the incident occurring. This report must be made by the manufacturer/ importer. Failure to do so can impose massive fines.

Just worth having in your Arsenal when discussing with jeep

Re: No brakes- caution

Well after 2 and a bit weeks I should finally be back on the road tomorrow. I had a call tonight saying that the brake booster had arrived and had been fitted. The car has been road tested and is ready to go.. Cant wait to get back into and get back on the road.
