That's what pcfg69 tried to fit. Have a look at the installation instructions and compare with pcfg69's post where he says that there is no provision for the two bolts to hold the front bracket.
I compared the pictures in this post with the ones in the DIY section but can't see the difference. Probably need to wait for my GC or until someone posts better pics.
yep, pwyss - you're not alone....i can't quite get the situation either....a quick slide under the front for a look and ferret around would definitely assist me. Thanks to pcfg69 for the pics tho.
As I read it there has been a chassis mod (seems strange but may have been necessary to comply with the regs), and the front holes that support the T crossbar end of the Mopar accessory recovery hook aren't there.
In the DIY post one installer had issues where he seemed to have tightened the nut on the inwards end of the hook such that it had pulled the hook backwards, with the result that the front bolts had almost come out of the slots.
From what I can gather (from the instruction post pictures), when in use the load from the hook being pulled forward is transferred to the chassis by the bolt in the back of the adapter bracket, with the front 2 bolts on the T crossbar holding the hook in alignment and dealing with any sideways forces.
Anyway - hope you guys can sort it by Feb for me.
