Thanks
Yep it's covered but if you bump anything hard with the air-dam the hook pops the cover off.

Yep, the cover still goes on and off as per normal. I found I had to use a small thin screw driver to pop it off as I couldn't get a good enough hold of the fins use them.

How long is everyone having to wait after ordering to receive the tow hook? My dealer tells me that the tow hook that people recd a couple of months ago was the from the first batch- none of which are remaining. They are now in mass production in the states and there's no ETA. Is this correct? Has anyone else been told this?

I'm pretty sure they are being made by a company in NZ for Chrysler Aust.

Ring Melbourne head office and ask for Craig Rosever. He helped me with mine.

Send them a message on eBay and they can provide a postage quote - did for me anyway - $25 to Gold Coast.

I've not ordered it yet though - seems quite expensive for something I "may" need. The only thing on my mind is the high possibility of getting stuck in the Sand!

I really should order ASAP!

Kev.

Finally got my front recovery hook fitted this week after quite a saga.

I was meant to get it fitted by Leo Muller Holland Park at my 1month safety check but it was never ordered.

So even though I ordered it through them I saw on another post that there were some at a dealership in Melbourne who were selling them on eBay.

I then had cause to call CJD @ Albion regarding some skid plates I've ordered from mopar.com.au (another separate ordeal) when I mentioned it to the parts guy, Anthony.

He was great. He called them and got one or me and it was in Brisbane in 2 days. Arranged fitting and that's that.

Now, I could call Leo Muller Service at Mansfield but since I did their job for them in finding my own recovery hook, I figure they can still get the hook and have a spare for someone else.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Clarkey.

A frustrating process to be sure, but good to hear that you now have it fitted ClarkeyWKCRD.

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Most of us 2011 vintage owners have felt you pain over the hook issue (from a distance of course).

Curious to see how they've integrated the hook into the 2012's......do you guys have pic's, if so, please post up and advise if Laredo, Limited or Overland.
