I'll buy them now? Sorry, haven't been following your thread, did you have them fabricated?

Purchased two hook sets from Jeep, and had the bracket on the right side fabricated.

Can be seen at WK2 DownUnder and a few posts afterwards

Did you have to drill the chassis?

How much are you willing to sell them for, complete.

Negatory. The same threaded holes exist on both sides so the hook on the right mounts in the exact same way using the same hardware.

It cost me around $700 for the two hooks. I'm open to offers.

Got a call back today, dealer has ordered a set of recovery hooks and is going to see if he can fit them up to one of his demos - the same part number that our mate at Waitara had. I told him I had my doubts but he is going to give it try anyway. He has also made enquiry with HQ in Melbourne.
So I got a reply back from the south western Sydney dealer today - guess what? The twin recovery hooks he ordered won't fit the MY14. This has taken him 4 weeks!

He is now going to try and fit the single hook...

It is like playing with a stupid puppy, who always keeps coming back for more.

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Oh, by the way.

Noticed that there is a bit of a write up on the MY14 in 4x4 Australia this month. They mention that "while front recovery hooks are no longer fitted as standard, they are available as a dealer fitted 'Mopar' accessory"

Might write to 4x4 Australia and ask if they have actually seen any fitted to a MY14 and which dealer had half a clue.

In the next issue (November) they are going to have a comparo with a Disco 4. I'll be very interested in that. My wife hates the style of the Disco - too boxy, but maybe I can stretch the budget a bit more....

If the stupid little puppy just read JG then there would be no need for this. I had already tried the twin solution months back and posted that it was a failure. Nah.... what would JG know, just ask Jeep AU! The sad thing about all of this is that they don't even know their product and Jeep AU hasn't provided a recovery solution for their 4WD. Bunch of amateurs!

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Just to annoy myself, I was clicking through the Jeep website and noticed that the Limited in maximum steel in the colour chart bit comes up with a photo showing recovery hooks. Just sayin...
