Does anybody have the contact details for Jeep Australia or Karla Leach? I figured I'd contact them and see where things stand.
The most sensible person at jeep hq is Shona Ruse. She knows about the issue and has been helpful in the past. You could also try Craig Rosevere - cannot remember his official title but he is in charge of parts in melb. Emails are firstname.lastname@chrysler.com. Guy Oakes could also be useful - he is a NSW parts rep - all the dealers know him and he was involved in the development of the recovery hook for the MY12.

Rather than the 1300 number, try 03 8698 0235, it's a direct number.

I sent an email to my dealer service manager today quoting Karla Leach to see if he knows anything. No reply yet....

I might drop in to another dealer tomorrow and ask a (shudder) salesperson.

Oh - by the way, great job Bill. Can hardly wait to place my order for a set.

Edit - Karla Leach is on Facebook - you could send her a friend request. Lol

FYI DVG Jeep in Melville WA are swearing they can get the Tow Hooks from Jeep fitted for around $600. I've got my car booked in for some rock rails in a couple weeks to get fitted with them and I've been tempted to let them try the Tow Hooks while they're at it...
No drilling or or chassis modifications needed, they bolt in place using the existing mounting points on the frame.

Cheers,
Bill

They stick out through the holes in the air dam so you can easily attach recovery gear, but they do not stick out past the furthest edge of the bumper.

Here are a few photos of the WK2 Recovery Hooks & WK2 Recovery Points installed.

Cheers,
Bill

Bill.

These really do look great, but, have you considered, designed etc these to accommodate those who have the jeep nudge bar installed?

The current tow eye bracket is rotated 90 degrees with this install.

Regards

Adrian

We haven't performed any test fitting on vehicles with the Jeep Nudge Bar installed yet. If the Jeep Nudge Bar uses the tow hook mounting points, there could be a conflict. I'll see if I can find someone in my area with a nudge bar installed so I can have a look. If you have the installation instructions, and you're willing to send me a copy, send me a PM and I'll have a look at them.

Cheers,
Bill

We're offering both so people have a bit of choice. The recovery hooks are easier to use with a recovery strap, but have a lower rating. The recovery points have a much higher rating, but require use of a bow shackle.

Thanks for the offer on the prototypes, but unfortunately at this time we need to keep using them for demonstration and other things internally. Once we're done with them though I might put them up for sale.

Cheers,
Bill
