Ah ok I re-read one of your posts. Looks like a redesign of the bracket. Well done and thumbsup to you.

Thumbs down Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Oh dear, that's not the spirit. Not the first either unless you've got photos dated the 5th of December.

It's pretty simple... Rhys did the yards on it... get a Jeep Australia MY13 hook with mounting plate, and another hook. Copy Jeep's mounting plate, which is a steel angle, but in reverse then weld a right angle plate as per Jeep's design. Bolt up with High Tensile hardware.

As I said, Studgun arranged it all... I just bought his cast offs. However I'm happy to share the method.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

I thought The bracket studgun /Rhys made was to fit two of the single jeep aust hook, not the hooks as fitted in the US?

My post does state that. If the US Mopar aspect is the key element, you may have your crown

Cheers,
Steve

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Well yes it is, no offence but the Australian hook was a poor attempt to make oz GC owners shut up about the missing hooks, the US hooks require a bit more thinking to install

Why won't you share how it was done? Do you intend to get a patent and put them into production, or are you just an a**hole?

Haha are you guys serious, showing them installed on my GC shows it's possible, I didn't know this when I forked out for the hooks! If guys want them as much as I did, they'll figure it out.
Cheers

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Look guys, main reason, if guys copy my idea, then sometime down the track it fails for some unknown reason (not saying it's likely, but anythings possible), I'll feel like a bigger a@@hole than u guys are making me out to be right now
Thanks

Or you could share the info, highlight that others do the mod at their own choice and risk, so at least others have the option of making the change or not
It's no skin off my nose as I have a my11 that came with front recovery hooks, and I have now fitted a Uneek4x4 bar, but there are hundreds of others on here that would be interested in how they might fit front recovery hooks to their my12/13/14's
Just saying bit cruel to say you have fitted them then not share how

Pics or it doesn't exist, hooks probably sampled but aren't attached.

No point bother telling you have something if you can provide technical information.
