Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

Hi Bmacklin

I have the Jeep Australia one tow hook solution fitted at present. Does that cause a problem when ordering these?

Hi sealous,

No problem at all. You can choose to keep that if you wish, or you can replace it with one of ours.

I hope that helps!

Cheers,
Bill

We're excited to get these first products out the door and onto everyone's WK2, we know everyone is anxious to get them. We've got a lot of other great WK2 products in development for 2014. Looking good and I can see you will get many enquiries. For some of us the only option was a full bar from ECB or ARB, but now you give us a choice to keep the good looks of our Jeeps and a recovery option.

I'm heading to the West tomorrow for a couple of years and I'll be towing my camper across the Nullabor. From what I have read, there will be lots of 4WD to look forward to and your tow hooks just might give me the confidence to get out there a bit harder than planned. I'd certainly be interested once you start production. Keep me informed.

Let me know if you are interested in heading sorta North from the Nullarbor... there's a great circuit through the Great Victoria Desert which will definitely provide the full scope of WA's expanse. It's suitable for your rig and would add around four days minimum.

If you are heading South of the Nullarbor, some of the tracks have savage cap rock, so you'd want to have LT tyres with decent sidewall construction... or a trailer full of Kumhos

The lime burner country that runs sort of parallel to, and South of, the Goldfields end of the Great Eastern Highway has loads of exploring to offer. There's a great trip book by a local publisher which covers the area. The caution around here are fire hardened stakes... stay on the track, and have a good look before manoeuvring off it to park.

Happy to help with your plans if you want to sound them out, and also happy extend a hand when you get to Perth.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

We had a great time up at Land Cruiser Mountain Park camping, 4Wheeling and field testing our latest prototypes. If you're interested in the trip, I'll be posting more info and photos on our facebook page in the coming days.

On day 2, we found a nice sticky mud pit. The perfect chance to test our latest recovery hook prototypes. It took 3 big pulls from an 80 Series LandCruiser to get us out. As we expected, the hooks performed flawlessly.

With field testing complete, we'll be organising a test fitting to verify fitment on various years and models, then we'll be going into production.

Cheers,
Bill

Bmackin will these be able to be fitted to a 2013 model? And are they a self installable job?

Hi jasefrehley,

They should definitely fit 2013 models, since 2012 and 2013 models have the same front. We're performing an official fit test on all model years Jan 25th, to make sure.

If you're good with a wrench, you should be able to install them yourself. We'll be providing step-by-step installation instructions. I'd say the difficulty level for installation is a 2 on a scale of 1-10.

Cheers,
Bill
