Re: Nudge bar..2014 GC

I have used a nudge bar from 1 800CHINA (aren't they all) and have modified things a bit.

Behind the bar I have fabricated a front tow bar to allow me to push our caravan around a bit.

I have used the original rear tow hook and can mount this into the new receiver by bolting it in through a couple of holes drilled in the bottom of the receiver shank. It is strong enough for recovery purposes and suits us well.

I have fitted a front camera into the top bar and the UHF antenna is fitted into one of the light mount points.

Pete

Re: Nudge bar..2014 GC

As I've discussed in the past, I like the idea of something a bit more low set, like this:

But maybe in matt black, and a 20inch light bar hanging from the top tube. But I also need to replace the airdam for better approach, so maybe I'd get something like this made up to sit further back in place of the airdam.

Anyway, I'm going to wait and see what Chief Products come up with for both nudge bar and airdam replacement, and go from there.... if I don't like those options I'll probably start talking to some fabricators around Brissie to see what they can do.

Here is one of my other past ideas, but more of an airdam replacement:

See the Pre-runner (air dam replacement) discussion thread:
