Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

No point is raising with the US, as your car will not show up on their system. The VIN's do not display on Jeep Assistance US.
You need to talk to Jeep Intl, who are based in Belgium, but appears to be responded to from the UK. They will probably tell you that it is still in assembly awaiting release.

In any event, there is no way your car will be delivered in Sept. Assuming it was released today, allow 2 weeks rail, and 4 weeks ship, plus 2 weeks clearance at this end.

Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

If its any comfort at all, Livernois Auto is a highly regarded company. I had my Pontiac G8GT(Holden built car) tuned by them, and there work is absolutely fantastic. I would rather see them work on my rig then a jeep dealership.

Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

if it makes you feel better, I ordered my Laredo on the 14th of April and it is still sitting at the factory. I was told August delivery.. that isnt going to happen. Im thinking the same thing about cancelling, cconsidering there are MY13 jeeps on there was to aus now and my jeep is a MY12 and sitting in Detroit. Dealer is saying he will have it by mid september now, But by my calculations if it was released today id have it more like mid october!

Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

Volotage: Your's is an interesting case, as it was built on 20th June, then seems to have been dropped off the radar.
I recommend you ping Milous and ask him to confirm the status. Looks like the MY13's tracking took over, and no-one is looking at the MY12's.
I would be most surprised if the status of your car is as displayed.

i asked milous the other day and he reckons that it should be on the rail this week, which leaves only tomorrow in the states, also spoke to the dealer as to why it was delayed and the manager there spun some story saying that all the vehicles built in my vehicles production line were delayed for some unknown reason... might be unfounded but i think he is full of bs.. temped to cancel and by a land rover freelander2

Hey thats a vehicle very famous for being popular with hairdressers, not fourby's....and that's when they work. (No disrespect intended). If I could convince you to sit tight, it'll be well worth the wait.

Milous is never full of bs. He is the best source of info on this forum.

This may be controversial. If you want a real 4WD that actually works in 4WD don't buy the GC. My experience has been pretty bad so far off road.

Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

Just got off the phone with my dealer and they have confirmed that it is still in their system as showing on track for delivery by 20th Sept.
Therefore it would need (by my rough calculations) to be on a ship within the next 7 days to give it a months sailing time and then discharge from the wharf a couple of days after arrival. I know they only spend a couple of days on the wharf here and then a couple of days at the dealer for towbar fitment and pre-delivery.

Sound plausible?

Allow 2 weeks Prixcars and dealer delivery. Needs to be sailing soon. Others might be able to look a Ro/Ro schedules to see if there are carriers that get here direct rather than the detour to NZ. My ship the Taiko stopped at every port from Curtis Bay to Brizzy including Aulkland.
