There was no issues whatsoever and he said he'll organise the deposit refund straight away. That money will most likely go straight back to them anyway as I'll need a towbar fitted.
$990 fitted for Mopar or $880 fitted for Hayman Reese...
Another decision I have to make, although if I get an HR bar then I won't have to take the edges off my WDH to fit.
Our Mopar bar (Bestbars out of NZ) seems a quality bit of gear, and after 13000k of towing no issues whatsoever although the access to the 7 pin plug could be better.
I used a grinder to take a small amount of metal off my HR WDH tongue corners and fitted up no worries, in fact I was able to make it a snug slide in fit so when installed but not towing there is no chance of a rattle.
I reckon you would have no problems with a HR bar either.
You're going to love your new vehicle......
John

Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

It's here................
Picked it up yesterday from the transport depot, took me 2 hours on bloody public transport to get there though!!!

All safely tucked up inside the garage. I have an appointment with Vicroads Friday afternoon to register it. Bit frustrating having it sit there and not be able to drive it until it's registered, oh well, plenty of time for that.

The towbar issue needs to be sorted though, still unsure whether to go genuine Mopar or HR. Either way I'll get a dealer to do it just to avoid any issues with integrating the plug with the Jeep wiring. Not 100% confident in some of the aftermarket quotes I've been getting.

Photos once the plates are on.

I'm in the final stages of fitting the Mopar bar. I haven't see a HR bar so it's hard to compare. The only thing that I know for sure is that the HR bar is much easier to fit (it doesn't require the removal of the rear bumper) and the Mopar bar gives one the option of retaining the rear recovery hook.
