Powder Coating my Wheels Suggestions Please in NSW Australia

Could somebody suggest a powder coater or PVD Coater in Newcastle or Sydney or NSW, AUSTRALIA please, every business I have sent am e-mail to has not replied. Makes you wonder how people stay in business.

Edit........................A business just got back to me with "Currently we do not offer powder coating services as we are looking for a new powder coating partner".............end quote, these people advertise that they powder coat right now FFS

I want to powder coat my Chrome Goliath Wheels with a Black Chrome style coating, the pic attached is the exact same as my vehicle here in Australia, I think the Black Chrome looks great.

I wanted to purchase 4 Black Chrome Goliath wheels from the states after 2 (two) PM's and 1 e-mail from the same business, I finally got an answer of yeah we can sell em to ya but it will cost between $1500 to $2000 US to ship em to ya plus the cost of the wheels............ as of August 7 2015 that's $2714.28 Australian Dollars just for the freight and that's total bull$hit.

So I will powder coat instead.....or do the PVD Coating..................hopefully if anyone ever gets back to me

The pic is borrowed from the forum

Just get plastidip, as I do not think you can reliably powder coat our wheels. With the plastidip, you can easily remove it or touch up if it gets scratches.

You can also have them painted black chrome, instead of powdercoating them.
I wasn't aware powdercoating was available in a chrome type finish, moreso solid colours.

Thanks for the reply guys, I didn't want to plasti dip it's too soft, reading about the PVD powder coat process is explained here PVD Coating — The Chrome Shop at the bootom it aslo mentions the stripping of previously chrome plated wheels.

Try these guys in Sydney.

Chrometech in Castle Hill.

I think you want a chromer rather than a powdercoater.

Thanks I will check them out

The PVD Process is a special ECO friendly form of powder coating quote from the website http://www.thechromeshop.com/pvd-coating/

The Process
A raw aluminum wheel is sprayed with a powder coat base. The wheel is then placed into a vacuumed chamber with a metal alloy cathode. The metal alloy cathode is then arced to create metallic ion plasma, which is then deposited onto the wheel in an even coating. Once the metallic coating is complete, the wheel is sprayed with a clear powder coat to ensure maximum durability.

I haven't heard of that process before.
I know that's a US site you linked to but the first thing that caught my eye was that they require the rims for 4-8 weeks, no exceptions......bugger that.

Yeah the 4 to 8 weeks is I think the standard time they tell everybody because maybe they are very busy I suspect is the standard for those guys in the states there would be people who would do it faster, maybe it's their way or weeding out us wheel guys, the PVD process is very straight forward.

I have finally found a business Welcome to Advanced Powdercoating Sydney - Home (they do the standard style powder coat but it looks good) who has replied to my questions, the (4) four other business's I contacted via Email with pics etc didn't bother so bugger em. These guys will do a 24hr turnaround as well.
