Reason I ask is that you guys have mentioned many recalls in the last 4-5 months including the DPF issue that has not been done on my car ? The only one currently showing as applicable is P67 the stability control unit replacement.

Is their a site to list recalls performed on a particular VIN ?
Yes if you punch in your VIN it will give the recalls for your VIN but only the recalls ( recalls have a "P" number or an "N" number - eg P67)

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Recalls, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Recall List | Autobytel.com

What it will not show is the thing like the DPF software update which is not a "recall" its just an update, albeit an important one .

This site shows all the Recalls, customer satisfaction notice (CSN), Technical service bulletins (TSB) and Rapid Response Transmittals (RRT).

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - 2011-2016 Grand Cherokee Service Bulletins and Recalls

From what I can gather with the recalls you should be separately notified and booked in to correct problem. It gets fixed with parts/labour and the dealer gets paid by Jeep to fix it.

The RRT is something which should be applied at next service and is done under warranty and you shouldn't have to ask for it. (in theory) but Jeep dont have to notify you to about it. - The dealer gets paid by Jeep to do these.
The one for the DPF software change is an RRT 14-104 and should be done automatically as long as the service place knows about it.

The last one is the TSB. The TSB's would only be applied if you had a particular problem or symptoms that a TSB would fix if there is one.
It seems if you don't ask then they don't apply it.

eg if you complained that the gearbox in your MY14 diesel was doing rough downshifts from 3-2 and 2-1 with a shift bump or you had incorrect selection at high altitiude., then there is actually a TSB to fix that specific problem and they could apply TSB 21-012-015.
Maybe the dealer has to get approval from Jeep to get paid for the update.

Re: Product Safety Recalls Australia

Hi All

Today I have received my first recall letter for WK JGC 2014. A safety recall Number P67 for Occupant Restraint Control. A coating on the ORC module printed circuit boards may have been improperly applied during manufacturing process.

Re: Product Safety Recalls Australia

Yes, this recall was thought to be the culprit for a while when my airbag issues were being investigated (it wasn't). ORC is a Bosch part and I understand the replacement parts for the recall won't be readily available till October.

Re: Product Safety Recalls Australia

This is the one I was told was a non Aus one, even though it has shown against my VIN for ages. I saw it on my work sheet for the car today when it was being serviced. No idea if it was actually done, as it is a valet service, they love not giving the car back with paperwork.

THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL (ORC) MODULE MAY DEVELOP AN INTERNAL FAULT. A COATING ON THE ORC MODULE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY APPLIED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. IF THE COATING WAS APPLIED INCORRECTLY, LEAD SALTS MAY FORM AND CAUSE A RESISTIVE SHORT ACROSS THE ORC MODULE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD(S). ATMOSPHERIC HUMIDITY MAY INCREASE THE POTENTIAL FOR THIS CONDITION. THIS COULD CAUSE THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP TO ILLUMINATE AND POTENTIALLY DISABLE THE PASSIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEM. THIS COULD CAUSE THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP TO ILLUMINATE AND POTENTIALLY DISABLE THE PASSIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEM. THIS COULD CAUSE AN INCREASED RISK OF INJURY DURING CERTAIN CRASH CONDITIONS.

Re: Product Safety Recalls Australia

Don't tell me they actually took up my suggestion and made the calipers from wood. I thought they would know I was joking.

If they used your idea of wood, surely they would have used BLACKBUTT !!!
