2014 Limited Rear safety camera

What are all the part numbers involved to upgrade to the limited camera (trim and camera) assuming that I can reuse the wires from the rear of the jeep to the head unit.. is the plug at the rear of the jeep the same in both the limited and laredo..

Have a look a couple of posts back for Hymer's list of part numbers. I have asked the question about compatibility between Laredo & Limited but have not had a qualified answer. So this could be a suck it and see situation at the moment.

On the grapevine, via a dealer service manager, there may be an Australian sourced camera in production shortly. Of course shortly is relative.

Re: Rear safety camera

Ineeda, Those photos are on a par with mine. And you have a new camera too???

Not good. Keep signing the Petition, 85 now in 3 days so have a long way to go.

Grateful for those who have signed it.

Any way I can get a list of MY14 Laredo owners?? Legally of course.

Re: Rear safety camera

Well Hymer & Ineeda there is one thing that stands out - the view from your camera installations has the same perspective as mine. Extreme fisheye. And the night view is also the same - useless.
If I knew of a way of getting a register of MY2014 Laredo owners I'd be on it in a flash.

I believe I have added my signature to this.
The quality of those images is really crappy. Rubbish and definitely not what I thought I'd be getting.

Be my guest Enforcer, I would but I've been banned from the Jeep Australia Facebook page.
I was badgering them for months about the delivery of my Laredo and their poor communication skills.
Got to admit many others were twice as strong as mine but no, they kciked me ORFFFFF.

So paste this link on their page and see how long it does last!!

Re: Rear safety camera

I got kicked off for posting the Moose test.
It is nice to see Jeep PR banning anyone they do not like the opinion expressed.

Re: Rear safety camera

G'day all,

Advising you that the MY14 Laredo rear camera Petition has reached its first 100 signatures.

A long way to go yet.

I would like to thank all those who have supported it and to ask the Petition to be forwarded to all and sundry for signing.

As one person mentioned, why should they sign if they dont own a Jeep?

My anology was that a judge or magistrate does not have to be an axe murderer to adjudicate in a murder case. They base their decision on the facts before him/her.

I have also sent the MY14 Laredo rear camera argument to several prominent motoring journalists to see if they can get some traction from Jeep Australia.

So once again, thanks to you all for the support.

Bluey

I have signed but as a point of interest.

Wife is a Intensive Care Paramedic, had her look at some of the god awful pick and comment.

On a par with Tasmania Ambulances (Mercedes) . If it's raining she says you can't see a thing. And if it, the camera unit has condensation and is fogged up, forget it.

So, we are not the only ones working with rubbish quality.

Reckon the Ambos are looking for the promised pay rise before they jack up about shyte RCs.

Cheers
