Recovery Tracks - Perth

Just picked up a couple of sets of recovery tracks from Recovery Tracks (Pair) 4WD 44 ATV Sand Snow Mud | Star Products
Normal price of $115 reduced to $105 at the moment

Seemed like a pretty good deal considering others I have seen, were twice the price
Worth a look if you are thinking of getting some

Mark

Used them a couple of times getting out of sand bogs no problems

However I think if you wanted to use them for bridging holes then I have a sneaky suspicion that they may snap?

For sand/beach work, I think they do as good as job as any, when the times comes that I need to used them over a hole then I will either see if the center can be supported or use a couple together for the extra strength.
And since you can basically pick up 3 sets for the same price of 1 set of Max Tracks it wasn't too painful buying a couple of sets

Cool. I don't think you can even use the Maxx Traxx for bridging holes as they will snap. I might give these a go as well.

Re: Recovery Tracks - Perth

I see now the Ebay knock off tracks are $65 a pair, but there is also a product I hadn't seen before, which looks like a roll up rubber ladder, 1.5m in length. Just over $100 per pair including postage. Think I might grab a pair of these to go with the pair of eBay cheap tracks that are wearing down after 2 recoveries... Rubber would be better than plastic, right??

Cheers, Simon

Re: Recovery Tracks - Perth

A friend had a couple of the roll up ones and they seemed to work

They would be a dam lot easier to store in the car

Too right! Hey Mark was that you commenting on the guy selling a pair of tracks on FB earlier? If so, was amusing stuff, I think that guy was a touch optimistic with the asking price haha

Hahaha yeah that would have been me
Fancy asking more for old, faded crap than the brand new price?
Normally with plastic type things faded also means brittle.

Trouble is some people, especially the young just getting into 4x4ing dont know the difference, think the $100 is a good price and hand over the coin.

So just erks me when I see it, at least now people may look at the comments and reconsider their options.

Oh and I have no connection at all with Star Products

Yeah I think that's why some use Facebook to sell their old crap, as people not even shopping for their stuff will see it, and with no idea may just get sucked in. I have a set just like those and they were around $65 with postage on eBay last time I checked haha

Cheers, Simon
